Good feeling gone....my mood has swung down........toe really hurts and feeling utterly stupid for doing it, torrential rain is making both front and back gutters drip badly onto windowsills - drip, drip, drip - I am noise intolerant at the best of times but on v. little sleep - arghhhhh! And it reminds me that I have to face up to getting quotes to get them fixed and then have people in to do it who probably won't do it properly. Would rather do it myself but the ladder is too heavy to lift on my own.
Anyone know what happens when you lower the levels of oestrogen and progesterone in your body? Recently had to change from combined pill to mini pill due to my age and have concerns about the effect the change in hormones might have on me. Made me start to think, what do these chemicals actually, exactly do and affect in the body?0 -
Do you have some interview prep done?
Sort of I know what they do. They are wholesale fruit and veg suppliers.
And most of the stuff is grown locally.

Ok
couldnt wake up this morning and its a work day so was a little bit late.
Had a trainer in doing MWEP stuff so have been organising that, finishing the quality manual, producing an internal auditor schedule, producing a training course for internal audits, telling the owners wife no (which amused the staff mightly)
I did try and get through to the docs, got someone who couldnt grasp what I was asking and their a half day thing today.
Tomorrow morning I will walk down and wait in there, meeting is at 1.30pm with Shelter 2pm dial in.
absolutely knackered and today has been intense thinky stuff so heads a bit weird.
Thanks all for the reminders tho xxxxx0 -
I read that as 'intense kinky stuff' Melly, no wonder your head is feeling off!
Hope it goes well for you tomorrow.
Also good luck to Calley. I think a summery dress would be fine, small businesses often prefer the more casual, approachable look as it helps them imagine you fitting in with a small team.
Survived work, only 14 more shifts left (thanks flybaby!). Had a few bad contraction type pains but it passed. No way on earth I am giving birth there though, I think baby would pop out, see the state of the place and turn around and go back to hide!!
Feeling quite positive today and my anxiety isn't too bad. Got a difficult evening ahead though and am trying to get my coping strategies in place ready, but it never quite works like that. Hubby left it to me to decide if I wanted to put myself in the difficult position, but in a way I wonder if it would have been better if he had put his foot down and said we shouldn't do it. Hey ho, decision has been made and we shall see what happens.
Raining here too, but I have been sat outside in it to cool down a bit0 -
Oh forgot to say. Collected the items from the freecycle person. No id required in the end. I took them a bunch of flowers to say thank you.
Also had a chat with my husband and asked if he noticed anything different about me.
He said like what. And then before I said anything else, he said you are calmer :j
So not sure if its the meds as they are low dose. And when I see the Dr next week get them to up to the next dose to be sure. or the hypnosis. Or having no contact with my ex. But seems I am heading in the right direction.

Katy - 14 shifts to go-ho! 14 shifts to go! Woo Hoo! Best of luck with tonight - I would say "deep breaths, think calm" etc etc but it drives me nuts when people say that to me - so.......isn't there an old saying about it taking 147 muscles to smile, but only 4 to extend arm and punch someone - justify your evenings activities tonight as smiling instead of hitting the idiots because you want to use the time to exercise lots of muscles in your body. ((((hug)))0

HBS and Pyxis - thanks for your stories on smears - I have avoided them as I can't even comprehend anyone going anywhere near me, past history of abuse etc etc and it's one of the reasons I decided against children (plus family history of disease.) But having read your posts. I think I will suck it up, close my eyes and get it over with. Thanks for the advice and nicely put shove in the right direction.
Flybaby, when you ring to make the appointment, tell them that you have not had one before and are very nervous of having the smear, and could they allow a little extra time for the appointment? Then when you go, tell the nurse about your fears and a potted history of why, even if it is just what you said on here. Ask the nurse to explain everything as she goes. That way, the nurse will treat you with extra kid gloves, and she will have the extra time to devote to explanations, etc.
Right.........the more I read the thread............the more I wish I could do something real to show you all how lovely and comforting your words are............ but since it is a "virtual" fort family, I have decided to take the pay it forward route..........starting close to home today and making hubbys favourite dinner for when he gets in from work tonight......(very rare occurrence - I fix the oven, I don't use it!)
That reminds me of an Enid Blyton, or similar, story I read when a child. Incredible, the effect some things have on you! It was a story called Pass It On, and it was about someone doing a Good Turn for someone else, but refusing any sort of payment, instead they said that payment enough would be to pass on the Good Turn. So the story revolved about how this Good Turn got passed on to various different people in all sorts of ways. Eventually, the Good Turn came back to the first person, in a circle! They had a Good Turn done to them! I never forgot that story!Yes it was me. And the interview is 10am tomorrow morning.
And I am trying not to think about it and no idea what you wear either. Think a skirt and blouse might be a bit over the top. As they are a little local company. So get the feeling they might be a bit casual!
Suppose to hot tomorrow. So might wear one of my dresses with a cardy.

The outfit sounds perfect! Smart casual! Absolutely no need to don the Corporate look!Oh forgot to say. Collected the items from the freecycle person. No id required in the end. I took them a bunch of flowers to say thank you.
Calley! That's such a nice thing to do!
Also had a chat with my husband and asked if he noticed anything different about me.
