Glad you feel better MU.
BTW- I used to have plastic glow-in-the-dark stars that you stuck on with blu-tac (rather than actual stickers IYKWIM) on my ceiling, it was lovely until they started dropping off the ceiling onto my head in the middle of the night! :rotfl:
Hi Flybaby- hope your toe is OK!
I'm another one who needs to go for a smearI just got so sick of people poking around there whilst I was TTC (yep, dildocam here too!) and pregnant (3 sweeps to encourage DS to come out!) that I'm so over speculums now!
I know how important it is though so must book an appointment!

The no job thing is ok if you can find a good way to explain it. I was out of work for 6 months last year following redundancy and managed to turn it into a career change. Although tbh I'd have happily stayed off longer - got used to the spare time very quickly indeed.
Ok folks, nearly time to pick up that phone and make appointments.:)
That includes you Melly.
And just realised that I've forgotten to send a birthday present that needs to be there tomorrow. Even if I write things down at the moment I forget to look at the list. There's no reason for it and the amount of stuff I'm forgetting to do is getting annoying now. I need a new system - any suggestions? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

This is your Ring Medical Professionals Reminder!!
I need my smear too but can't have it till after bump has popped. Don't know why they can't do it while they are busy fishing around down there anyway, but apparently not. I don't mind having it done, just wish the nurse didn't put a miners helmet on and tie a rope around her waist beforehand!!0 -
Thanks for all the offers of dog cuddles last night. In the end I settled for stroking Hubby's beard!
Might attempt to bath LS tonight, if hubby will lift his furry stinky 45kg bum in to the bath for me.
Work in a minute, only three and half weeks left but it seems sooooo long!0 -
Morning my Lovelies,
I hope everyone had a restful night. Better than it has been for me. But not brilliant. Was tired but could not drop off.
Thank you everyone for being so kind. I think deep down I know that I am nice person.
But with all the crap and battles over the last 9 years I just lost who I really was and just need to get back to that person. I have always been shy and a bit nervous. And just before we moved 10 yrs ago I had a career break as I could no longer cope. But once we moved I got a job as we needed to pay the bills etc.

I have a massive confession and I have never had a smear at nearly 43!!! Mainly because I just not comfortable having it done. I know, and they keep sending me the letters that I ignore. Vbad I know. Probably one reason I never had children the thought of one and his dog looking up me

As I said to someone yesterday. I am starting to feel better and stronger everyday. But its a long road. And hence why I am giving my self 6 months before I even think about a possibility of a relationship. And see how I feel then.
Right time to get my day started. Shower and dressed. Oh I did one thing last night when I got in I did clean the bathroom. And even took off the trap under the sink to clean it out. It was very manky. Not sure why. I don't think that I put enough hot water down the sink. Think I need to do the soda crystals and boiling water down the sink once a week to keep it de-gunged if that is really a word :rotfl:

Thanks for the reminders!! They gave me the kick up the bum I needed to do it! Friday 11.45am! Your next task is not to let me forget....elsien, I'm right with you on the bad memory thing!
Talking of which, do you gave a smartphone? If so, there are loads of list apps. I find making a list helps, and I use my shopping list one a lot. You can also set reminders so that they pop up to remind you of an appointment or to send something off etc.0 -

THOSE OF YOU THAT NEED SMEARS, GO AND HAVE THEM.
I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my smear tests, and as it was I had to go through some rather nasty treatment to prevent cervical cancer (LLETZ, for those who wish to know).
PLEASE, book your appointments!
On a lighter note, I'll never make a weathergirl...it looked OK out today, so I braved a dress to work. It's now chucking it down - typical!!

 i can't get it out. (crying but wondering if this is my nan's kind of way of saying stop being silly, she did always have that sense of humour)
You know what? It could have been! Hope you've managed to retrieve it now.
As people have said, you don't always have to go to a certain place, you remember them in your mind and your heart everyday.
I always try to light a candle on love ones that have passed birthdays, whereas my Mam always gets a bunch of flowers in. Everyone has their own way of remembering and paying respect.
Fly baby, that sounds a lovely way to remember your friend.0 -

HBS - I just can't get it right at the moment either! On super hot days I wear tights, dress and a cardigan, on cold days I just wear a dress with no extra warmth and freeze! Poor DS keeps getting sent to nursery in shorts on rainy days because it looks sunny when we first get up!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
