Awh, I do love hearing about Gitdog, even if he's being naughty

Really not feeling well today at all. I didn't sleep much last night and when I did finally fall asleep I had a bad dream*
*Penguin that DH, me and DA dog were in a car accident on the motorway and I got free and somehow DA dog was on the central reservation and I was shouting at him to stay until I could get over there and get him but he wanted to get to me and he got hit by a car. I had to get up and check he was ok!
Today I feel tired and weepy and like I just want to curl up in a tight ball in the blanket fort and weep but I have to be at work today - I pretty much dragged my feet all the way here. Oh and I accidentally took drowsy ant-histamines so will probably fall asleep at my desk.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hugs Code. I'm feeling a bit like that as well, I've been hit by a nasty head cold overnight. Glad I went to the gym last night as I don't think I'll make it tonight...

Calley, there would be no reason for you to leave at any point! I'm not ill but I still love to read and pop up every so often and don't feel like I'm not allowed!

Totally agree with this. :T I'm not ill either, but after losing my Dad, found I needed somewhere to talk, a place with a friendly ear to listen, a comfy shoulder to cry on and with people who offer awesome advice and suggestions. As the thread title says, 'Here we can all be heard for a little while', and that is so true.
I have good days and bad days, and on those bad days if I want to talk or ask for advice then I find this a perfect place to do that. I've been welcomed with open arms, and love our cosy little thread!
There's no need to leave (unless you want to that is!), besides, who would supply the Jaffa cakes?!
Welcome to any new people btw!
Hugs for ((((code)))) A bad dream can leave you feeling particularly unsettled.Hope today goes fast for you x x

Well my dresses have arrived! The black and cream one looks promising, the yellow one is nice, but I'm really not sure about it as it looks too girly! I'm pretty sure that toughening it up with some docs won't be acceptable at a wedding!
Forgot to say, it sounds like you had a brilliant day yesterday Pyxis! Glad you enjoyed it!0 -
My dress isn't here yet. Sulk!

Hugs to Code and HBS. There's only one thing worse than feeling rough, and that's feeling rough and having to go to work.

Excuse me? Why not Docs with the yellow one? Just because it's a wedding, shouldn't mean you can't express your personality! Go for it, Georgie!
You should see what I'm thinking of getting for a wedding next year!

Honestly, you'd think it was a royal wedding the way MIL is going on about it! Can't remember if it's 200 or 250 guests, and all the "trimmings" what weddings have nowadays, which is fine if that's what you want and can afford it (which they can), but it's making MIL feel under a lot of pressure that she's going to let the side down....she's been stressing about it for months.
She's been nagging and nagging on at D to wear a suit jacket. He doesn't want to wear a suit jacket, doesn't feel comfortable in a suit jacket and didn't wear one at our wedding, so why on earth would he wear one at theirs? He finally flipped the other month and said if she mentioned it one more time then he wouldn't be going, and was she ashamed of him or something? The other day whilst shopping she tried to get him into Burton's....
So, if I turned up in docs, I don't really think it'd go down too well....although I did wear converse for my own!
Your outfit sounds fab! I love harem pants! Am curious to see what this headdress is like!
Talking about headdresses, the MIL asked if I was wearing a fascinator, I told her that I hadn't even thought about it, but considering I don't wear hats or anything fancy in my hair then I probably wouldn't be. But, because the two nieces mentioned it to her and suggested it would be a good idea, she's now got it into her head that if she doesn't wear one then she's letting the side down again....honestly, makes me mad  She thinks the nieces family is going to let the side down, she even said "what if people think oh here's the clampets'....my reaction when D told me that was non too savoury I can tell you!0
