Could have put money on you picking out those shoes Pyxis! :rotfl:

Georgie - I'm kind of regretting finding that shop to use as an example now, I want to buy a bunch of the hair clips for my holibobs! :D

I can not be held responsible if you go crazy with your credit card! :p:rotfl:

I think the trick with MIL is to give her plenty of help and attention in the run-up to help her feel confident in her choice of clothes (if I was local I'd totally help pick an outfit, I loooooove shopping for other people and if it paid well enough, I'd quit my job to be a personal shopper!) and maybe on the day book in for you both to have your hair (and maybe make-up?) done so she feels great. :)

ETA: That headband is awesome Pyxis! We're away (in Orlando) for Hallowe'en and that would be pretty cool to wear on the day! :)

I think I'd love to be a personal shopper too! We took her to the Metro Centre and picked out loads of dresses for her, but no luck. SIL ordered over £500 worth stuff from M&S, no luck! I'll keep on trying, I won't give in! :rotfl:

That is a fab headband Pyxis!

I need the panda shoes! It is a need, I tell you! WaSp would walk half a mile behind me but nevermind that, they are adorable!

Hello new people and welcome! You are among friends here and always welcome. I look forward to getting to know you better!

No one is leaving the thread! *clings to all of you*. As it is stated in the introduction this thread is for anyone interested in mental health as well as people with mental health problems, everyone fits here! It would break my heart if people didn't feel that they could post because they felt healthier. Besides, I would totally blame myself and think I have driven people away! Don't do that to me! (I am joking. Sort of.).

I do understand the feelings, though because ironically in my paranoid moments I sometimes think the opposite, that I am too ill to post or talk to anyone because I am such a weirdo and should probably be quiet on here! Then I get over it and post anyway and I am fine again until the next paranoia attack. But I belong here and so does everyone else. I actually love the diversity and I learn a lot from all of you, plus your acceptance of me has done wonders for my self confidence. So thank you to everyone, you are all important parts of what makes this thread what it is.

I had an interesting night, apparently. WaSp woke up to me crying and scrabbling at the door lock. He asked what I was doing and I just said it wasn't safe and we had to get out. He took me back to bed (after physically dragging me away from the door!) and I was fast asleep within seconds. I remember none of it, my sleepwalking is annoying and slightly scary.

I have a prescription! I also got WaSp to drop off a letter to the Practice Manager. At least it is over for the next 28 days.

Had an antenatal class today and had a hysterical fit of the giggles which resulted in me crying my eyes out as the midwife tried to wrestle a doll out of a fake pelvis and almost ended up having to put her foot on it and pull.
It didn't go down well as everyone else was deadly serious!

Little Sod woke us up by dragging the picnic blanket round the living room this morning. Think it was a not so subtle hint he wants to go to the beach again!

I now have an urge to buy dresses and shoes. Can it be blamed on hormones?!

New channel 4 programme. Haven't seen it yet, so I can't judge the programme itself yet. Wondering what people think of how it's being marketed though. Publicity gimmick/voyeurism or genuine attempt to show Aspergers in a positive light?
I'm undecided, but feeling a bit not sure about how it's being sold.

    Irregular Choice...just had a look!

    OMG OMG they're beautiful!
They might even tempt me into some heels for a special occasion! :)

They are fab. Mind you I am hard on shoes so would wreck them very quickly.

    Also a tad pricey

Try the doctors again tomorrow, Melly. Your health is important. Say Hi to Allan for me!

I would have cracked up laughing, too Katy!

Hmmm, that sounds a bit iffy elsien. Let me know how it is portrayed if you watch it, please.

We need you for your Jaffa Cakes Calley, among all the other lovely things that you bring to the thread! Now I fancy steak...

WaSp and I just did a big tidy of the living room, it needed it. I have space now rather than the avalanche falling onto me from the seat next to me. That feels so much better!

Thank you so much. I have never really had anyone want me for anything including jaffa cakes. Not really sure what the lovely things are. But I will take your word for it.

And as I said I have found a home and been made to feel so welcome. And love hearing about other peoples days. And feel privileged that you let me in to your lives even at its worst. Also I don't feel so alone.

Also to be truthful I have very little going on in my life:( So I feel like I have found like minded people and am part of a group of special people.

Better stop before I make myself cry.
