Was at local Lidl and selected my trolley - after putting in the token and pulling the trolley away, I noticed a large handbag still in the trolley (how could someone not have noticed this was left behind??). Anyway, went into store and gave it to checkout man after explaining where it was. Went back to entrance to start my shopping and noticed an elderly woman approaching customers and asking them 'if they had found ....' didn' hear exactly what she was saying. She was frantically running up to anyone so took a while to catch up with her - asked her what she was looking for and she explained. I said her bag was with the man on checkout and she was so grateful - she even put her hand in her pocket to try and give me some coins - obvs politely declined - gave me a warm fuzzy feeling for helping her out0

I did exactly the same, left my bag on the floor in a pub. How was it not noticed? I'm so used to hanging my bag on the pushchair (I had the scrummy grandson with me) I never even checked it was still on the pushchair. Cue mass panic halfway home when I realised it wasn't there. Luckily when I got back to the pub someone had handed it in. Phew!0 -

I helped my neighbour up who had fallen over in his flower-bed the other day and brought down a whole fence panel into our garden, he is nearly 80, but was ok. I think we were more bemused than he was. And today I am listening to the sublime Mogwai in concert Paris 2014 on you.tube.0

Things I regularly do:
Buy 1 item of food a week for local food bank, and once I have a box full I take it there. The volunteers are so grateful and lovely. We could all do this.
Donating all my unwanted clothes, books, DVDs, CDs and household goods to charity shops.
Have my nieces over for a sleepover to allow their parents to enjoy a night out (although I do rather enjoy this!).
Cook a meal from scratch EVERY night for me and OT.
I am a complainer though, and will speak my mind, so the halo does slip occasionally!0 -
OH and I spent yesterday helping my older daughter move into her new house.
Bluebell, hope things are a bit better for you.0 -
Today I fed a very bedraggled looking crow, who stacked his food in a little pile and hid it all under a leaf, I also left him a pot of water (bought a new can of hairspray, and used the lid for a cup for him). I hope he enjoyed it.0
