I found details of free solicitors advice in our staff handbook and sent the details to one of my friends at work. She's in the middle of a divorce so it may be of use to her.
I saw a friend I've not seen for ages; she's just had her car written off and lost her job, so treated her to lunch. Also,we had a great catch up!0 -

there was a woman and kid on the tram, she only had a note and the tram conductor didn't have any change. He asked her if she had 20p to be able to give her change but she didn't so i gave her 20p.
To be honest what's 20p? She said thank you but to me it was nothing for me to be able to help out. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My friend gave me a funny card yesterday, not for any reason, just because it made her laugh and think of me. It contained a joke about farting, not sure what she means!!!!??? Made me laugh too.0

Whilst I was returning to my hometown a few hundred miles away recently, I came across a really local tiny charity based in my dad's village. I googled the Charity to find out more about what they did and found out they do great stuff for local families in need despite very little income and have very few overheads.
I decided to nominate this Charity to the nearest Waitrose stores Charity of the Month, with a letter to the local store manager about getting them some community funding. I don't think they've been nominated before and I do hope they get onto the potential charity list!
All it took was picking up a form from my local Waitrose, filling it in and writing a note to the manager and posting it.
Have done this before and the previous charity got about £400 for relatively little effort on our part.
<fingers crossed!>0 -

Bad thing: I have spent the last 2 days daydreaming about murdering someone who has p!!!ed me off and how I would get away with it!
Good thing: its a colleagues wedding anniversary today and her husband sent her flowers delivered to the office. A male colleague said, jokingly "im being discriminated against, no one ever buys me flowers". I was in Tesco at lunchtime and bough a £10 bouquet, presented it to him when I came back. The flowers are now taking pride of place in his desk in a pint glass of water. we all had a giggleMortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -
At the tea point, I admired a mug patterned with electric guitars, & the owner confessed he actually wanted one with his blue Strat. I urged him to get photos of his Strat, find a photo website (especially one with Father's Day promotions) & create His Own, Unique, Glorious mug! He was intrigued but startled & cautious of all this strange technology - so I sent him an email of weblinks...
Fingers crossed, when next I see him, he'll have a Strat mug & if not I'll offer to help sort photos & walk him through the online bits.0 -
I had a ramdom guy come up to me and asked me if i smoked, i said no, but asked why (expecting him to ask for a fag), he said he had given up smoking and had bought some cigs and wanted someone to take them off him so he wasn't tempted. I told him i'd take them if it helped him stay off the cigs... and then i gave them to a co worker who smokesThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
