A bit of niceness is healthy for the soul.Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0 -
Not shouted at all at my DD who is on study leave for GCSEs. For next four weeks. Then whole of sumer ..... Urghhhhhhhhhhh
Best of luck!! On the bright side, she probably won't surface from her bed til dinnertime, be up til all hours 'studying', so if you go to bed early you'll have less time to get irritated!0 -
I let a group of Dutch tourists take my photo today.
(That sounds somewhat odd, but they had a list of challenges to complete whilst visiting my city, one of which was to take their photo with a woman wearing yellow. As I was wearing a fairly fabulous yellow jacket they approached me and I posed for them. I left them looking for the next thing on the list: a funny-looking pet animal.)They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
Helped a woman at the recycling centre tip some of her waste in to the bins.
And someone one helped me so share and share a like LOL!!!!

Did 2 nice things today.
1 there was a meeting in our office, all outsiders just there to use our conference room. Was in the kitchen when their meeting ended. Overheard the girl who was tasked with cleaning their dishes say she could get a bus at 12.30 or have to wait until 4.30. At this point it was 12.15 so I told her to run on for bus and I would do the dishes.
2 gave my daughter permission for a sleepover on Friday night. Anyone who knows me, knows I hate sleepovers so I think I was being really, really nice!:A0 -
Synchronicity perhaps? On Radio 2 today, Zoe Ball is asking people to give details of random acts of kindness!0

My 3 girls, now 26 and 23 (x2) used to say the best thing about our house was they could pretty much ask for a sleepover any time and I'd say yes. Many a time I had 8-10 kids sleeping on the lounge floor. That must give me a million Brownie points! Downside of that was they had to dust, tidy up and hoover before and after the sleepover, I'm no idiot!0 -
Yesterday I managed not to have a melt down whilst trying to sort out DD3's insurance for America. She goes Sunday, why leave it til the last minute!!!!
During a very fraught day trying to sort out paperwork and insurance, made more complicated by the fact she is working there, rather than holidaying, a friend from work called and asked me to get an advert out of the local paper. I've done that, promised to take it in to work for her and leave it on the desk, completely forgot!! Must remember today.
Also I'm taking a load of newspapers to someone for their guinea pig cages. Recycling AND helpful at the same time!0 -
Well... something exciting just happened.
Went into the butchers on Crwys road. Was walking home, and man gets hit by a bus.
30 minutes later, I've scrubbed the blood off, he's off to hospital.
Luckily it looks like he's got away with just a mangled hand and broken nose.
I definitely feel like a good samaritan, shaking and smelling of disinfectant, but oddly want to avoid shopping for a whileThat sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Poor chap, and poor you, hope you are feeling a bit less shaky today?
I've just been to town, an older lady who lives down the road was climbing up the steps from the cut-through to our road with her shopping bags and trolley. I offered to carry her trolley up the steps for her (There's 8 of them and they are REALLY big steps!) She said no thanks but it was nice that I asked her.0
