    http://www.lloydsbank.com/security.asp

    Information on phishing, social engineering, malware and links to useful sites.

    Thanks for your link to the Lloyds website which has a link to a youtube video.

    I guess that the youtube video was the sort of thing that I meant, but a youtube video is something you look for, as are the sections about fraud prevention online. Most fraud victims probably don't go looking for such helpful and information videos - the one I saw was uploaded in September 2014 and hasn't even had 5,000 views yet.

    The banks could spend some cash getting such videos to a wider audience by putting them on TV - considering how much is spent refunding fraudulent transactions, I think it would be money well spent.

    The "bank" uses the sort code 75-01-81.

    This is invalid and does not exist. They say because the main banks will not recognise it.

    The idea seems to be that you pay £25 to join, then £10 a month. He gives you a cheque book, which are all linked to the same account.

    If you write a cheque, you must login and update your records yourself.

    Everyone also has the same account number "88888888"?????

    The "clearing hotline" for cheques is a mobile number.

    The registered address is 83 Ducie Street, Manchester, M1 2JQ.

    Seems to be a carpark but there is a small building at the back.

    I have seen that someone gave the "bank" 85k in savings from a payout, and when trying to pay off his mortgage the cheque was not accepted, the funds however were taken from the customers account at were bank.

    85k!!!!

    Reading through it is a hard slog.

    It appear to be a bartering system. I mow your lawn; you clean my windows in return.

    You pay for services and things with units of your time.

    Units = money.

    Your time = work.
