The Alliance & Leicester personal loan was £5000 over five years
The PPI was £1100 which was added to the original loan amount
Monthly repayments were £137 and I've just made the final payment (hooray!)
A&L have offered £1769 refund (nice!)
I used the MSE template letter to make the claim direct to A&L - I didn't use a claim handler or go to the Ombudsman
I sent in the claim to A&L on the 19th May 2010
About 10 days later I received a letter from A&L acknowledging receipt of the claim
Today 21st June I received an offer from A&L to refund the PPI plus interest
Just over 4 weeks from sending in the claim letter to receiving an offer of refund - amazing!
no fuss , no hassle :T

Hi All,
I successfully claimed from Egg £3889 for a friend and it only took 1 letter and I week! It was for a loan that he had just paid off.
My question now is I am claiming for someone with an RBS credit card and after the 1st letter he has received a questionnaire. I have it and I wondered whether he should fill it in or not? It does say on the letter that they will continue the investigation in 2 weeks if the questionnaire is not filled in. It is therefore not compulsory and I wondered if it is so they can try and catch you out?0 -

Hi
Wow Well done and Congratulations, great work! :T:beer::j
Now for the other, good luck with that one too.
Maybe complete it to the best of your knowlege, or if you do not complete just enclose a letter to say "please refer to letter dated XX/XX/XXXX".
I'm sure that should be okay too, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
I have found some details regarding my loan, as im trying to get an idea of what to expect from lloyds
I had a loan in oct 1999 which was for £3000 PPi cost was £544.29. i have found out i settled this after making 9 payment of which the PPI cost £15
when this was settled in Oct 2000 i had a rebate of £127.25.
My second loan they upheld started in oct 2002 for £13,300 and PPi was £3002.98, i foudn out this was settled in april 2003. and my PPi premium of which i paid 5 amounts was £50
Im sure i get the difference between the rebate and cost off PPI
back which amounts to around £1050 over the 2 loans, plust the PPi premiums which again is Around £350.
Could someone confimr i got this correct, but is there anyone who would be able to give me an idea of the interest id get, they say 8% but on the calulators i have been on line, it seems im almost getting the aboive gigure of £1050 back in interest. i know one of the loans was setlled almost 10 years ago and the other 6. but it seems too much
any help would be appreciated, and if im write then even better
many thanks0 -
