    Hi there

Personally I think you have a good case here and I do feel as well the FOS will uphold in your favour.

Just a suggestion, but did you complain on each of the ppi that were mis sold to you separately?

If not you can do this.
    Fingers crossed for you.;)

    Thanks Di

Just one question which is probably a stupid one. I lodged both complaints with HSBC but only filled in one form for the FOS with both policy numbers on it. Did you mean I have to put 2 claim's in with The FOS or will the one claim form be OK.

    Hi there.;)

That maybe okay, due to the fact for having the same reasons for being mis sold, although I'm sure if there is a problem then the FOS will split them their end, so not to worry.;)

I had so many in the same time against the one bank and the FOS split them, and they did not ask me to complete more forms, I'm sure all will be okayX

    Hi

Just sent one complaint to FOS regarding my ppi back on a Lloyds credit card and now Lloyds have just rejected my second claim on a credit card. Is it worth going to FOS or forgetting about it, do FOS have a high acceptance rate.

Really cant understand them though, they have upheld 2 loans for the same reasons I put down for my credit card ppi. Would it be worth emailing the CO to ask them how one dept can say yes and the other no.

    Bewildered

    Hi Michelle

With my own experience of LLoyds they were difficult with upholding the Credit Card ppi complaints, and yet not a problem on the loan PPI, so yes it is totally bewildering.

However, the success rate is high with the FOS.

Or even though you received the final response, (as Lloyds are also known to still change the final decison, just as long as you have further information to give), you could give it one more go but just give them 7 days to get back.

Tell them you do not agree with their decision and stand your ground, and don't feel your complaint was investigated properly, so you are requesting they re-look and consider your complaint, then tell them your aware that banks are being punished for not investigating complaints properly and you believe yours is one of those complaints.
Clearly because you were successful in reclaiming on the loan ppi's with the same reasons and don't even believe your complaint was even looked at.

Then say, if you decide to complain to the FOS, they will occur further charges to themselves, if the complaint is found in your favour, and you will also be requesting for further redress on top for distress and inconvenience.

If you hear nothing by 7 days, then move on to the FOS.##

Its up to you though of course but it have worked, good luck.

Michelle if you do this, then do so by email and ask them to confirm the insurance dept have received it, also copy it to the Chief Exective officer.

Remember to give the ref numbers of the complaint.

    • What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
    • Who was the provider: EGG
    • How much did you get back: £707.00
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
After reading Martin's guide and all the success stories plucked up the courage to contact Egg. One letter stating that I was never given full and specific details regarding the protection and the fact that my job benefits outway the policy itself meant that if I had been given the full details I would never have agreed.
Massive thanks to all those who post on here helped me gain the courage!

I wrote to Halifax claiming mis-selling on my CC on 25th May 2010.
I got a letter back on 4th June, sorry you are unhappy with PPI, further to my investigation and as you are such a valued customer (aren't we all) "I have decided to pay you an amount which will put you back in the position you would have been had you not taken the insurance."
You will hear from our redress team in next 14 days.
Saturday morning I got a cheque for £355 (no breakdown).
Didn't expect a lot as I cancelled soon after realising that I was paying PPI but great, quick result thanks to all you guys'n'girls on this site :T

Still got various Egg, FP and Nationwide running

    Keep you updated
