    Hi,

I'm so happy! Received letter from Bank of Scotland today.:j

Re 3 of the loans they are paying me an amount which will put me back in the position I would have been had I not taken out the insurance.:j

Re my current loan with critical injury PPI, the complaint is upheld and again I will be put back to the position i would have been had I not taken out!:T

It has been forwarded to the redress team to complete the calculations and make payment within 14 days.

I really haven't got a clue how much I will get, but it will reduce my loan and hopefully my DFD.

Thanks to all on here for your inspiration & advice. I will keep you informed of how much & when the money arrives.

    Thanks. MM

    Well done MM.........:T and Congratulations!

Yes I did claim for both PPI's. I was hoping for a definite yes on the first as it was paid off by the second loan but I am worried that the second loan has gone to a debt management agency and is being paid via the CCCS.
My father in law had exactly the same scenario with his loan and HSBC have paid back all the PPI including interest but his loan was not in arrears.

    Hi there

Normally if you have an account that has arrears, any successful refund is refunded towards the account to help bring it down and to pay towards arrears as well, but the interest should be refunded directly to you.

Did they mention anything about paying interest?

However, I believe you can argue that the money rightfully belongs to you, as you would not possibly be in this position now if you were not mis sold the ppi, which have worsened the debt and put you in hardship now.
And you have been out of pocket and deprived of your money.

So you could write to argue this and if they do not resolve in your favour, you can always complain to the FOS.;)
    Good luck.

    Provider: CAPITAL ONE
Amount Reclaimed:UNKNOWN (didn't get my statements)
    Amount they paid:£316.13

The story:I rang capital one to ask when I had PPI and the dates it started and when I cancelled it. It was only 6 months worth apparently. I chanced my luck and said that it was mis-sold etc.
Got a great reply saying that I accepted PPI over the phone on a call from them. I know that I didn't and asked for proof/recording of call (This was back in 2001).

The reply says that they maintained that the PPI hadn't been mis-sold, but wish to bring the matter to a speedy conclusion and coughed up £229 in premiums, £6.30 in interest and £80.33 of 8% stat interest.

    Cheque in 21 days!

    Love David

Well done and Congratatulations David, Great work!

On the 29/05/2010, i wrote to LTSB, using the templates on this site.
I had a 5 year loan, all repaid, which I took out on 31/01/2001, i complained about the PPI, single payment. The loan was for £9,250 and a further £1999 in PPI.
LTSB wrote back on 02/06/10 saying they would look into my complaint.
Today, 12/06/2010 another letter arrived saying they would pay back all monies with interest.

KERCHINGGGGGGGGGG £2000+ will be paid into my account, as soon as they receive back my acceptance, they will also send a text saying it has been done.

Speedy or what? Only 2 weeks and I win !!!!!!!!!

Credit to both Martin and LTSB

I have other paperwork in against Paragon, they have already replied with acknowledgement letter, just now to wait and see what happens here, hope this also is good news.
