    Hi Warren

I believe your in your rights to write back to them and tell them you want this reconsidered, as you don't believe your complaint have been investigated properly.

To me this is a standard fob off response.

What you need to work on now is their reasons/findings for knocking you back.
Write further information that relates to their findings.

So despite being sent an agreement - you need to explain to them as you have done above - by stating there is nothing on the copy of the agreement they sent about the PPI.

Tell them your not satisfied with their decision and its been totally overlooked, and if this PPI was added then it was not by yourself but by their member of staff (certainly not for your interest but for their own).

Keep at them, and tell them you stand your ground, and if they do not uphold in your favour, you will take your complaint to the FOS with evidence to support your case, which will occur in further charges to them. Give them 7 days to get back to you.

You could also tell them that the FSA are clamping down on rejected complaints.
Make this letter stronger than the last one, good luck.;)

    Thank you di..

Is this common for Halifax, I wasnt sure if i had a case with me thinking this was applied for over the phone as it was some time ago, but what they sent doesnt seem to prove i agreed to what they say was clearly optional.

ill try and see where i get, worse case i can refer to FOS, and it cost me a stamp

    Hi Warren, your very welcome.

I think they can all be as bad as each other to be honest, and also depending in who's hand their in.

Have you also requested for copy of the telephone conversations?
If not ask if they will supply these to you as well.

You can do it, if not through these then the FOS will I'm sure sort it for you, hopefully though they can see your not an easy one to mess with.:D;)

    Good luck.

  • One last question, do I need to provide the original paperwork? If I do, I'll have a problem as the wife shredded it earlier this year.

    Hi there

And no you do not need to provide any of the original paperwork, however it is your choice - so if you did not to send the originals, send "copies only";)

  • Hi, I have been reading all the posts for a while now, so decided to add my ongoing experience with Black Horse.
I took out a joint loan in 2006 with Black Horse but after coming on this site and reading all the reasons for misselling, I went through all the paper work and found several that applied to me.
I downloaded the first template letter in march and sent it off saying that I wasn't told about it being optional or that the unemployment benefit only pays out for 24 months out of the term of the loan. When the 8 weeks were up I hadn't recieved anything from Black Horse, so I decided to write my own letter detailing my findings which covered unemployment benefit, optional PPI, cancellation of policy and single policies and I detailed how they are no good to me and what they hadn't explained.
Giving them the 14 days to reply and sended via recorded delivery, I also emailed customer services yesterday asking for confirmation that they had not only recieved the letter but also that they were dealing with the claim....I recieved a letter from customer sevices today stating that it has been brought to their attention and that I will be contacted as soon as it has been investigated. So I am giving them til Monday and if I don't hear anything I will be ringing them and then forwarding my findings to the FOS.
My loan currently has 1 yr left, so I hoping that it will get paid off with this claim if it does then I will be a happy lady with extra money in her pocket come payday!!!!

    Debt-free and Proud!
Another success for me.... Submitted a claim for mis-sold PPI on a flexible loan I was talked into having by a very pushy HFC employee in 2002. Paid the whole thing off two years later and didn't have any info. Sent off SAR info in March and then a letter requesting a refund (I estimated around £500). On Saturday morning I received a letter, not admitting liability but offering me a full and final payment of £1653.31! Have been in a VERY good mood all weekend!

    Hi All.
Sent off my acceptance form following my HFC success on Monday - is anyone who has also won with HFC able to advise on how long they generally take to send the payment through?
    Thanks, Coco
