Hi there
So I take it you are trying to reclaim from 3 loan ppi's with them and they have only came back with a decision on the one?
Or have they combined the 3 for an offer?
I would double check on this before making your mind up on this, and also depending on the actual amount you have paid in PPI as well, if there is a big difference, myself personally would be trying for the full amount, or at least the best offer they can make nearest to the full amount.
If your not sure if this is the outcome for the 3, then I would ring them to make sure.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
Who was the provider: Sainsburys Bank (Bank of Scotland)
How much did you get back: £3,154.78 (including 8% interest)
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1 letter requesting money back.
Hi all,
Well have just received a letter from Bank of Scotland re: my claim for loan PPI . Sent my first letter on 25th January 2010 and got my first reply two weeks ago to say they would investigate. Further letter arrived last Friday to say that although the didn't admit liability, they would put me in the position of not having paid the PPI and would advise on the amount to be refunded within a week or so of that letter. Today I've received a letter to say they are refunding £3,154.79 by cheque which I will receive within 28 days! Really hadn't expected to receive anything as I took the loan out in 2002 and completed payments in 2005.
Am so grateful to Martin, his team, Di3004 and those that post advice / encouragement on the forum as it made it so easy for me to say what have I got to lose by trying. :T
Have really turned a new leaf now as am putting away savings and getting in control of my finances thanks to this site. :A
Still have a pending claim with RBS for another loan so may have so more good news to follow.
All the best

Wow! You have given me some hope that I can claim PPI back!:j
I have sent SAR letter off to Sainsbury's Bank this week. Checked my last 7 years bank statements on line and it appears that I have had 5 loans with them, probably with added PPI.
Hopefully this will be confirmed once I receive the documentation from them and then I too may be able to claim back the PPI.
Well done on your success. I really hope I can do the same to pay off some of my debts!:Tmissmental stopping being mental & to be debt free by 53 :j

- What were you reclaiming: LOAN
- Who was the provider: WELCOME FINANCE
- How much did you get back: £7000
- Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1ST LETTER
- And then write your brief reclaim tale:
I have now had a total of £7000 back from Welcome Finance and was all due to the information from this site (Thankyou All Very Much). My claim took a total of 5 Months but was well worth the effort.
So chin up all those that are still waiting on Welcome as they will eventually pay out.

I used your first template letter to ask EGG for a PPI refund on a £5000 loan that was paid off last year. I wrote to them on 11 March and expected this would be a bit of a drawn out process and that I'd end up having to write to the Financial Ombudsman. In fact, I got a letter from EGG yesterday, 24 March, saying they are going to issue me a cheque for the full amount of the PPI plus interest on payments - a total of £1451.04. I suppose as it isn't a huge amount they thought they may as well just pay it.
Great result. Thank you for your advice!
