What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
    Who was the provider: EGG
How much did you get back: 8057.53
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman
After 1 Letter and a 2 week wait.

Story Goes: Had a call from my Mum stating she had been contact by a company touting for business, and looking to reclaim on her behalf. She contacted me and told me about this and I came onto this site to look up what was happening. Found ML information and decided that 25% was a lot to give away for the sake of a letter. Two weeks ago,, sent the letter away to EGG, as I had back in 2003, taken out a loan for 15000 plus 5730 PPI, of which I was told was compulsory, as I was increasing a previous loan of which was applied for on-line.

A week ago I was sent a letter saing they were looking into my claim and it would take up to 8 weeks. Today was sent a letter staing they were sending the payment to my bank. 5730 of the PPI plus 2345 Interest,

Thank you to all on here who helped, this is life changing for me and could not have been done, without your aid. Martin Lewis for Prime Minister. Thank You all.

    Fantastic :T:j Congratulations

What were you reclaiming? Credit card PPI
    Who was the provider? RBS
How much did you get back? £560.75 (inc interest)
Did you get it back after a letter or did it go to the Financial Ombudsman? I ended up contacting the Financial Ombudsman but the claim was settled by RBS before it went to an adjudicator

Couldn't be happier!! The letter from FOS advising RBS were upholding my complaint said it may take upto 8 weeks. I contacted RBS myself after 4 weeks for an update and received a cheque today, 2 weeks later. (its being used to get mortgage arrears up to date!). Thanks to this site it was an easy process - just waiting to hear from another 2 claims now:j:j:j

  • Claiming back PPI for a loan from Barclays Which was £730.
Sent off one letter - received one back with a questionnaire (didn't fill it in)and received a few "we are dealing with your complaint" letters - Had asked for interest which worked out at £1100 - checked my bank account last night and £1300 had been paid straight in!! - Took 6 weeks just for the price of a stamp! - Will be doing a few more now. Thanks everyone for all the success stories - makes you really want to do this!
Dont let these companies rip you off!

    Hi there

These Questionnaires are becoming a standard thing with some banks.

I would just answer to the best of your knowledge, and/or write please refer to my account where these details should be held on your systems from when you sold me the product.

If you have not done a letter yet, maybe you could do this and enclose the questionnaire with the letter, then write to some of the questions (please refer to my letter enclosed).

More details of reclaiming with guidelines, templates etc here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

I'm sure though there are lots on here who have been through the same procedures as you in regards of these questionnaires and will post up with some useful advice/info for you. Good luck.
