I had two separate PPI reclaim to Barclays, one is for my Loan, the other is for the overdraft limit. My loan one has been refund to me earlier this month, however, the PPI on overdraft reclaim has not yet been processed at all.

Has anyone been successful lately on Barclays overdraft PPI?

    Thanks
    Katie

Well done on your PPI refund Katie
Good luck with the other too.:)

  • Hi,
I was just about to sign a form giving a claims Company group 38.78% of any winnings to claim PPI on my behalf.....
I took a gamble and googled PPI Insurance reclaims and thoughts I would have a brief look at this website... little did I know about claiming it myself.... just never thought about it.... I've seen/read "SO" many messages, I am ready to go and post these letters myself - lol (38.78%) for posting a letter....
OK wish me luck... Black Horse and Halifax Loans here I come ..... PPI in 2006/2007 refinanced in 2008..... they stand no chance (If I'm successful may even try with some credit cards :) )
Thank God for google and this website!!

Hi and welcome and good for you :T

Your right not to bother with these claim companies, as they will charge, there are many posts below where you will get to know more of these companies and many people let down so badly.

Well good luck, please keep us posted and fingers crossed.

  • :j Hello everyone, hope this ( my first post ) helps others with their plight.

I have recently successfully applied for the return of my missold ppi through ABBEYLOAN. From original letter to ABBEY to completion this took only three weeks for an offer to be agreed, i now await the funds to be paid straight into my account. I used the template letters on this site and adjusted them for my purpose.
The loan was taken out five years ago and my criteria for it being missold was the fact that during the application i asked if having the ppi increased the chance of a successful result. I was told in no uncertain terms that this was the case and that looking at my credit record i would probably not get the loan without the ppi.
I must stress that I only did this on a whim, it took about 30 minutes to !!!!!!!ize the template letter and get all the relevant account details. For this 30 minutes I receive £1300.... not a bad days work.
Please, please ,please find time to try this yourself. Incidentally the offer letter stated that " as ABBEY could not find proof of the ppi NOT BEING MISSOLD " i was to get the refund. The wording is strange because if they had checked their phone records, they would have said " WE AGREE YOUR PRODUCT WAS MISSOLD. Does this mean that they are unable to check this far back and therefore open the door for anyone-whether missold or not, to claim. I have also received a payout from this ppi when i was made redundant. This figure HAS NOT been taken from the settlement figure.

On a downer though, my bank charges claim was returned due to fairness/unfairness etc. I have subsequently told ABBEY that my criteria for reclaiming this was "hardship" and that this was clear in the letters to them. Still.... i shall dig in for a long fight.

Finally, many thanks to Martin and his team for all their hard work and please give it a try.

    Hi and well done
And thank you for your advice here too.;)

Yes its possible they do not hold phone records going back earlier than 2005.

Good luck on the charges reclaiming too, I take it your also posting on the actual thread for help on this matter here?

    • What were you reclaiming: HBOS
    • Who was the provider: HBOS
    • How much did you get back: £875
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Got back after 1 letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
Sent letter off in November complaining about mis-sold PPI. Got acknowledgment of the letter and told there was a delay in investigating it. Made a phone call after 8 weeks to check the status and a week later got a letter agreeing to a refund. On the 1st March a letter was sent saying they'd be sending a new loan agreement which i recieved 12th March. Sent the agreement back on monday 15th March signed and recieved my money today (17th March). Absolutley delighted.

Thanks to Di and everyone else who offered avice. Now onto my other other claims.
  • Success with Santander store card - One letter from MSE, 6 week wait and PPI repaid £500+......:T Many Thanks MSE's
