What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
    Who was the provider: Citifinancial
How much did you get back: £3107.92 :T
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Got it back after first letter

Took out a loan in 2007 to clear my credit card debts. Only recently looked at the paperwork after hearing Martin in TV going on about PPI. Thought I'd chance my arm. It was so simple, downloaded the template, changed my details. Within 3 weeks of sending the letter, this morning I received a cheque for £3107.92 which includes the interest at a whopping 25.7%

I'm so glad I'm better educated about money these days. Thanks to everyone who works on this site and to everyone who contributes, as in the last year it has saved & earned me more than I thought possible.

What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI for a friend
    Who was the provider: Lloyds
How much did you get back: £2,500

Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After initial letter

Despite my own battle, I decided to help a friend with their Lloyds TSB Loan PPI which was actually applied to three loans in total. After one letter and four weeks, they recieved a letter yesterday upholding the claim and sent acceptance forms for each loan.

He was absolutely over the moon ... until he read the small print on the acceptance form saying that if his loan/s had gone to the Debt Management Department, the refund would come off the outstanding balance! Oh well, it least it's coming off something :)

    Another success story!
