  • Iapologise if I have posted this in the wrong place but new to this site and really need some advice.

    I have just got the ball rollling on claiming the ppi backon my loans with welcome and have received a letter this morning stating;

    'Based on the information I currently have I am unable to locate your details please couldyou supply;
    • copy of loan agreement
    • date of birth
    • full postal addressand any previous addresses
    • Full name and account number
They have also requested some info in the form of a questionnaire. Should I supply all of the above ?? the account numbers, address etc were on the first letter that I sent them to start to reclaim, and they shouldhave a copy of the loan agreement seeing as the loan still exists and they take money from my account every month!! Any advice would be much appreciated.Thankyou .

    Hi There

It would help if you could give them the information to trace your accounts e.g. previous names and addresses as well. You do not HAVE to give them this information but it may well help your case. Just keep copies of all information that you give them.

    Good luck

    • What were you reclaiming: Flexible Loan
    • Who was the provider: Cahoot (Santander)

    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Got back after 1 letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
Sent letter off in January complaining about mis-sold PPI. Got an acknowledgement letter a few weeks back saying they would like to speak to me to discuss the situation (i ignored this request!). Got a letter today saying they agreed with my complaint and they would refund £1,593.43 premiums plus £350.47 interest at 8%.

Well done to you :T:T amd Congratulations

  • Hi all,

Started the whole process of reclaiming in November 2008 and have had success with every claim although most require the excellent assistance of FOS (fantastic people!).

    Barclaycard £492.48 settled

Yorshire Bank Visa £350.00 Settled via FOS

    Egg £332.98 Settled via FOS

    Beneficial £1,023.23 Settled via FOS

HFC Loan PPI £2,624.26 Settled via FOS

Barclays loan PPI £5,100.00 Settled via FOS.

Lloyds Loan PPI TBC FOS involved

All the above claims were initially rejected! Many thanks to all the people offering great advice on this website and Martin Lewis for his excellent info!!

It's been a long road but well worth it.......keep going everyone!

    Thanks, Karl

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
What were you reclaiming: Credit card
    Who was the provider: Egg
How much did you get back: £77.02 (so far...)
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: First letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale
Decided to send the letter after realising it was on my account and didn't know why. They have this morning posted an "adjustment" on my account of £77.02, balance was only £750 anyway. I don't think this is right so I'm going to wait until they send me a letter to explain then question it, but it's £77 I wouldn't have had before!
Just waiting on Capital One and Barlcaycard now :)
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Offered full refund on loan ppi's, the 2 of them so far with 8% simple interest, will post up the calcs on arrival as I have had to request for these.
Still have another 2 ongoing with these!:D

    LLoyds TSB finally listened........:j:T:beer:

Started these in Nov 2009, they requested for more time when 8 weeks had passed, was given 2 offers but was not happy, they were originally final decisions as well, but I pointed out a few issues with them and they agreed to take another look and uphold in our favour.
