I had an account with them back in 2005 for 3 years and noticed when going through some paperwork recently that they had been charging me every month for Extra Care Advantage, so I have written them my first letter, it comes to about £300 altogether
Thanks
Hi there
I think I have read that some have tried to reclaim against catalogue insurance.
Good luck with this, please let us know how you get on and keep at them.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

What were you reclaiming: Credit Card PPI
Who was the provider: Barclaycard
How much did you get back: £783.19 inc. gross intrest at 8%
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Several letters to Barclaycard
Just wanted to say a big thanks to this forum, because if were not for the template letters and reading everyone else's joys I probably would not have bothered claiming.
I sent my first letter the beginning of October as I had recently received my statements when claiming for unfair charges (which was also successful to the tune of £173)
In mid October I received a questionairre which is standard protocol for them to get the ball rolling. They then have 8 weeks to get in touch.
I did ring early December only to be told they were seriously behind and could not give me any answers. 2 days later I received a letter saying they would be as quick as they can. 5 days later I received a letter telling me that yes they felt I had been mis-sold my ppi policy and that it was unfair for me to have paid into it for 2 years.
I received a refund of all the monies paid plus the 8% interest. Very happy indeed.
Hope you all carry on with your's and have a successful outcome like me.

I would like to encourage ANYONE with beliefe that they are entitled to claim and thank Martin and this fantastic site! :T
I sent the first template letter to Lloyds TSB over a PPI policy for a personal loan,
I received a standard letter stating that they were looking in to my case and that if i felt i had further information i should let them know and it would be taken in to account.
As a result I sent a letter giving full details of the circumstances underwhich i took the loan and reason i believed that the PPI was missold to me.
I received a letter back yesterday, which informed me that all points i raised in my evidence letter would be address, ( they only acutually did half!!!) they dismissed each and every point that they had answered but in a two line conclusion at the end of the letter stated ' as a goodwill gesture ....' i could have a 'favorable' pro rata refund of £1397.97
which is what i had paid plus £200 additional -
Could not have come at a better time and was on the strenght of 2 letters!!
many thanks again to the site and Martin .... and to everyone who hasnt done it yet GO FOR IT !!!:j0 -
