- What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
- Who was the provider: Natwest
- How much did you get back: £1,149
- Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 2nd Letter, and 1 phone call
- And then write your brief reclaim tale Trying to claim PPI back on many cards and this loan. Sent first letter (30th Oct 09), got the standard response "we are investigating....", sent second letter, no response, telephoned them to remind them i excisted, got letter through this morning (22 Jan 10) with good will gesture £1,149. Loan was for £7,500 over 60 months, £2010 ppi, but i paid it off early (it only ran for a year) so i'm happy with the result and won't push any further as i can't afford to wait on this one. Thanks MSE'ers
Congratulations and well done to you.:T:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 - What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI

Hi there
My hubby's FOS letter dated 4 Dec 2009, as he was successful in reclaiming on his Credit Card PPi (lloyds TSB), stated that if hubby did not hear by 4 weeks of that date is to chase the bank up, so we have done this because time have gone on, so still waiting to hear something in regards of the refund.
Anyway, even though the FOS confirmed they closed the file, they emailed a few days back to inform hubby they are to get in touch for an update from Lloyds.
I would give it another week and if you don't hear, contact the bank as a normal procedure, if you still hear nothing after another week, then let the ones who dealt with your complaint within the FOS know.
Well done on your success.:T:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi All,
Just received a cheque from loans.co.uk for £1,806.28 for mis sold PPI in 2005. Started the process in September 2009. They didn't accept that it was mis sold but made a goodwill gesture. I sent a letter back to them stating I would like to be put back to the position I was in before PPI was added. In December 2009 I received a letter offering the full refund offer of £1,806.28 and they stated I would receive the cheque 2 weeks after signed acceptance form was received. The 2 weeks past so I called them on 20th January 2010. I was told the cheque was on the guy's desk and would be sent out that day and received the cheque today. I have not seen too many success stories with loans.co.uk so hope this gives all of you loans.co.uk claimers hope
Congratulations!! I also won my claim against loans.co.uk although I had to go through the FOS and it took me 19 months to get my money back!! It took loans.co.uk 13 weeks (if I remember correctly - I've posted my success on here so all the details will be in that post) before they finally paid money into my account.
Another success against them!!! Well done!!!0 -

Has anyone successfully claimed back insurance from Littlewoods catalogue? I had an account with them back in 2005 for 3 years and noticed when going through some paperwork recently that they had been charging me every month for Extra Care Advantage, so I have written them my first letter, it comes to about £300 altogether
Thanks0 -
