    Hi there

So sorry to hear this and with my experience of Lloyds being a customer for more than 18 years we have had our fair share of hassle with them as well to be honest.

However, just to let you know of my experience with them in regards of reclaiming.
Over a year ago both myself and hubby tried to reclaim on the PPI of the credit cards, a few letters went in, for a start when this was sold to me I was a houseperson with just receiving the childrens benefits and hubby did also try to make a claim due to an accident and they did not pay out, there are other reasons as well, but that should have been enough to have these upheld, but "no" this did not happen, so we taken them to the FOS who upheld in our favour.

Anyway, we are now on to them about the loans PPI, and still waiting for a result, this time they are sending more letters out asking for more time, as it have gone past the 8 weeks and if we wanted to now we can take these to the FOS, but giving them a little longer, we are hoping this time they will realise due to the reasons on the credit card ppi and with the FOS upholding on these that they will uphold in our favour.

How long ago did you write to them and how long ago did you receive the last response from them?
I assume you realise you can take them to the FOS, just as long as the 6 months have not passed since you last received the final decision from them?

Otherwise, yes do write back and tell them you want this reconsidered, or you will move on to the FOS, give them something like 14-21 days max.
Keep at them until they issue you with the final decision and as you also know its best to post by recorded delivery, so you will know your letter reaches them, by checking the delivery status on the Royal Mail website "Tracking".

Please keep us posted, wishing you luck.;)

    Hi Di,

    Thanks for the response.

I've read a few time on the forums about your reclaiming, and i truly hope you get what you're after, and owed!

I wrote to them back in Sept and received their reponse a couple of weeks ago, so it's well within the 6 months you mentioned. I will be writing back to them and have drafted a letter i'll be sending off tomorrow, it's just, you know, every now and then you get a little disheartened and, to be honest, p*ssed off with companies screwing you out of money, and in this case, then refusing to give it back!

    Anyway, will keep you posted!;)

    Good luck!

    Hi guys!

I am getting soooooo impatient now. I posted on here yesterday just to ask what people thought about the response from my FOS adjudicator.

Thanks Malshalka for the reply, I'm really hoping that it sunds positive rather than negative!

The only thing is that I was under the impression that the adjudicator should keep you updated at all stages i.e. tell you exactly what is going on. I have literally heard nothing since the case was taken up by an adjudicator. Then when I phone for an update he said that he as waiting until there was some more positive news for me.

Does this sound like the adjudicator has made some kind of recommendation to Central Capital? Does anyone have any similar experiences to share?

    Koala77
I would think perhaps that he has not heard back at all cause if he had actually made a recommendation then he would normally inform you of it BUT on saying that, he does sound positive. I really hope you win.;)

Had FOS response to blackhorse complaint. Complaint madeto black horse September 2008 eventually final response receive in December 08 sayingno chance. Complained to FOS they received 19th December 2008. September 09 FOS said they had written to company for their version of events effectively. Received letter today dated 11th Jan 2010 saying blackhorse have agreed to make an offer inline with the approach that the FOS take when they decide mis-selling has taken place.

I am happy I guess. SOunds bizzare but i want blackhorse to admit liability to me as well KWIM.

  • Many thanks for your advice re PPI reclaim. I took out a loan in 2003 to pay for a car and was made to feel that if I didn't take out PPI, I wouldn't be accepted. Having read about the reclaim success, I composed my letter and sent it to Northern Rock, who promptly told me that the PPI wasn't mis-sold, but if I wanted to I could challenge their decision within 14 days. I actually didn't get back to them within that time, so thought that was the end of that.

I came back from holiday this week to find a letter from Northern Rock saying that they had looked at my complaint and re-evaluated it and were going to offer me a refund and 8% interest, so I received over £800. Happy 2010 to me!

    Definitely worth the effort.
