- What were you reclaiming: PPI
- Who was the provider: Bank of Scotland
- How much did you get back: £5505.62 ( inc interest)
- Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1st Letter
Received 2 holding letters, looking into complaint.
Had a bit of a wait for figures due to MBNA not sending info through.
:jToday I have received a letter in lunchtime post. Payment will be made by cheque within the next 14 days.
For anyone who needs breakdown
Refund of premium added at inception £3222.45
Refund of interest added at inception £ 905.03
Compensatory interest @ 8% £1378.14
Many thanks to all who have offered advice and support through this. I would also add thanks to the team at BOS who have been helpful and professional in the dealings I have had with them :T. I have been told that my previous loan PPI claim is being calculated and will receive info soon.
I can't wait to get this money and pay off some horrid high interest cards, and the amount is a little more than I had calculated so that is a bonus.
Good luck everyone.:j:j Congratulations to another MSE Winner :money::money:Brilliant result for goaliesmum... :T:T:THave a Very Merry Christmas.._party_ :santa2: _party_Gerry x x :beer: :j :j0 -

Woo hoo finally some success.
I wrote to Egg last wk regarding PPI as i had applied for the credit card on-line in 2004.
Had a letter from them on the 18th december telling me they were looking into it. Have had a another one today telling me they are arranging a full refund including 8% interest and that i should expect a cheque for £572.19 under separate cover
lets hope it gets here before christmas0 -
Just to update I got my £328.60 in my bank today from my 2nd loan off Lloyds. Both were paid into my bank in less that 7 days even though they said on the letter I will get it within 21 days
Thanks again to everyone who helped me
I am so pleased to over got just under £1500 off Lloyds in 1 month after all the money they have took off me
This is fab :T:T:T, especially for Lloyds to pay up earlier than stated, they must be feeling generous because of the xmas period lol :j:j:D.
Well done hun, so pleased to hear this, am so happy for you.

HI DI AND ALL - MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL.
Can anyone advise?. We paid our loan off a couple of years ago and we were given a rebate on the PPi (which we didn't even know about as we thought we were just paying a monthly payment a bit like house insurance). We were definately mis-sold. Anyway, we have received an offer of over £100 from Lloyds which is the difference between the pro rata rebate they offered us and what would have been the total rebate. Thet have said that this is their final offer and that if we do not accept we can go to fos. If we go to foc and thy do not go in our favour have we then also lost the £100+.0 -

Hi family123
Hope your well and also a :xmassign: to you as well.;)
It is taking that chance, but on the other hand the FOS have that many complaints regarding Lloyds, they mainly uphold the main of them.
If there is a big difference in the PPI that they have offered and with what you have paid, then I would personally keep going with it.
If this is a settled loan, they should refund you ALL the ppi and the interest, where the FOS will I believe request for the interest as well, and even though you paid this off, this should be refunded directly to you.
In my personal opinion I would go to the FOS, its up to you though, or take the chance of accepting it as a part offer and take the complaint with the final letter to the FOS to request for the remainer.;)
However, if you decide to do this with the part offer maybe its best to have other opinions from others on here also.
Wishing you luck with this hun.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks Di. We had decided already to take it to the FOS regardless if we lose the part offer but weren't sure if we still got the part offer if it went against us. We already have one complaint in with FOS re Lloyds, and we would not normally have persued things like this but we feel Lloyds have totaly let us down. Don't think we can ever trust them again!!!.
Good luck to everyone on the site and thanks for the advice we read in relation to other peoples queries as it has helped us also. Keep the faith.0 -
