  • I recently claimed successfully against Barclays Bank and a missold PPI on a loan over 7 years.

I wrote to the Financial Ombudsman and received approximately £6,500.00 back from Barclays including 8% interest.

The whole process took about 6 months from my very first phone call to Barclays and receiving the money back into my account.

  • I've ben claiming back PPI from Black Horse for a loan I had from 2003 to 2007. At first, they said they had no record of me (even though they kept sending me invites to take out another loan as I was a 'valued previous customer). I rang their call centre and the guy on the phone was very helpful. He was able to give me my old loan number within 30 seconds. I wrote back to their head office straight away.

Today, 2 weeks later, I have received a letter offring me a payment of £958.83 plus £315.56 in interest. I'M ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC!!!!!

    The MSE website/forum is awesome!

I initially sent a letter to Halifax to reclaim PPI on a credit card I have with them (still waiting to hear back from them but have had a letter of acknowledgement and apology that it is taking so long). While reading through this forum about people that have reclaimed from Black Horse it jogged my memory that I used to have a loan with them. As a bit of a punt I decided to give it a go with them as well. It's paid off nicely.

    Thanks again MSE'ers!
