From Capital One. Refuted my claim that PPI was mis-sold on a personal loan. Sent off the second letter from Martins templates and they have today agreed to repay all premiums and interest totalling over £4,000. (still say the policy wasn't mis-sold though) Don't give up on your claim. Keep at them!
Thank you Martin.0 -

I have finally won my case with M & S after help from FOS advising me to go for the insurer not the credit card company.
I am still awaiting the second cheque as my caseworker did not know how to calculate the refund, but after a long fight & despite being told that I would only win if I used a claims management company I am just glad that they have admitted mis selling.
To anyone else who is fighting M & S just keep going & don't give up, you will win in the end & get to keep all of your win.

First time here so go easy on me, just like to say that I got my PPI back plus 8% interest from Nationwide Credit Card, I called them and told them that I never took PPI out, I told them that I still have got a copy of the areegment and I did not ask for the PPI anyway the lady at the other end said that she will ask the PPI team to look into this and get back to me, got no call back so called again and asked for the manger, she said that she will e-mail the PPI team and ask them to looking into it. got a letter from PPI team saying that they will write back once they have looked into my case, 5 days later got a letter saying that PPI had been refund to me. they have put the money back into my credit card.
Got back just under 250.00 in total, happy days!!!!!!!!!:j:j:j:j. I did not ever had to send a lettter to them !!!!!
Now on to my loan which i have got with them
Hi
I am currently reclaiming my PPi from a loan from 2005. I got declined at first but continued to FOS, they have now upheld my complaint and agreed to refund all premiums paid and 8% (which is what I asked for)
I have been trying to calculate my refund but I am not getting very far so I went on the Nationwide website and noticed that they are no longer selling PPI with any of their loans......
FOS have been very good

Hi,
I sent Barclaycard a letter in August based on a template I saw on here asking for them to refund the PPI on a card I had since 2003 which I had been unaware of until I transfered a balance back onto it in July of this year. I had no original paperwork but I thought it was worth a punt.
They sent me out a questionaire almost immediately, which was only 2 pages long, I filled this in and sent it back.
They sent me a letter about 6 weeks later telling me that they were sorry it was taking longer than they thought to investigate and I could complain to the ombudsman if I wished.
I telephoned them and said that I would give them another 2 weeks before making a complaint to the ombudsman and almost exactly 2 weeks later I received a letter offering me the PPI, original interest and 8% simple interest on the total, in all almost £3800!
Well worth the very little time and effort it took me!
Merry Christmas0
