    Hi and welcome.......:D;)

Well first of all if you have no paperwork or no account number in order to help for you to continue with any of your reclaiming, you can of course request a Subject Access Request (SAR), where they have 40 days to send you everything they hold on your account(s), there is a cost of £10 postal order or cheque payment for this request and the template letter for this SAR is here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553
    Post by recorded delivery.

For a free method of retrieving your account number where you can then continue to reclaim with having the account number details, if you have taken out any loans or still paying for them over the last 5/6 years, the account number would be shown next to the monthly repayments, such as on bank statements of when the loan payments were made.

If you no paper statements, and bank online this should allow you to go back as far as 6 years, so if you do manage to get hold of your account numbers, you can then fire away on the reclaiming of the PPI.

For more info on mis selling, with guidelines of reclaiming, to include a checklist of mis selling reasons, also reclaiming template letters on the link here below:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553
Again post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.

You can reclaim if mis sold for any reason on loan PPI, credit card ppi, store card, car finance, catalogues and so on, hope this helps, please yell if you require any help from here, good luck.;)

I wrote to a few when I heard about the PPI mis selling as I was told I had to have it on a number of occasions. I never paid for any SARS I just gave our details and they wrote back with the details. I then did a free online credit check so check they were correct

Just wanted to share a sucsess story with everyone. Have been notified today that Northern Rock will be refunding me in full all the PPI i have paid so far plus 8% interest, so in total I am getting back just over £1100. As I have only 3 payments left I have agreed that some of this will pay off the remainder of the loan and the rest will be returned to me. Some good news for once just before xmas !
I started my claim on 17th September so the turnaround was fairly good.

Good luck everyone with your claims and dont give up. My claim was not even that strong but still got a full refund.
  • Congratulations Widgel that is brilliant news debt paid off and money woo hoo:beer::T

I kind of didnt win nor lose!!
I have 4 complaints, 2 with lloyds have been acepted but I will update here when I have the money in my bank :)

But MBNA said because I did the application online and they sent all details of PPI and how to cancel blah blah blah, that they can only offer a good will guesture.

Ok its not what I expected but for the price of 1 stamp they offered me £100 knocked off my current balance on credit card.

I did accept as it wasnt much more I would of got to be honest anyways if I went the whole hog to complain.
It took from the 16th of Oct when I sent 1st letter out to today when she has just credited my account with the £100.

Hi, just wondered if you'd heard when you were getting paid out from LTSB - or if anyone else is aare of their timesclaes? I sent them my acceptance and I jknow they scanned this into their system 19th November, but they couldn't tell me when they would pay...

I would chase them up to ask, tell them your in need of "your" money now.
I think my hubby will be waiting a while, he signed his acceptance form with the FOS last week, but you know Lloyds, never in a hurry.

Good luck and hope they pay out very soon, fingers crossed.

  • I was told verblly by Lloyds back in October that my complaint was being upheld. After much hassling from us we finally got a letter dated 5th November telling us they would be refunding (so at least we have it in writing) but they could not give any timescale & to date we are still no further forward, really frustrating as we know we're getting something back but no idea when or how much, we haven't even had a letter to sign like everyone on here seems to. We originally complained back in July so really feel like they are pushing their luck, we have bank accounts/credit card & insurance with Lloyds, is it worth making a bit more noise about this and perhaps threatening to close accounts etc?? or should I try going higher up the staff chain? does anyone have any advice on this?
