    Hi folks

I have been reading posts recently in relation to Lloyds TSB, that when signing to accept, they have no timescale on when paying out.

A few months back I was successful in regards of a Credit Card PPI through the FOS and it was just a matter of about 3 weeks of when the refund was received by cheque payment.

My hubby have also won his case through the FOS again Credit Card PPI, and sent his acceptance form back to the FOS a few days back.

So am wondering if anyone who have been successful recently with these can share their own experience of how long you waited before Lloyds paid you out.

This would be very helpful, thank you so much.

  • Hi there

Tried to reclaim my PPI back from Nationwide on a loan from 2005, was told by Nationwide that they do not keep call recordings from that date and cant prove I was mis sold. Despite two letters complaining they did not move.

Spoke to FOS last week who have advised me that Nationwide have now made an offer to refund all premiums plus 8%, I was on the verge of giving up with this but so glad I didnt, just got to sign the forms and wait for the refund now, this has been with FOS a few months and didnt get as far as complaints, an adjudicator looked at it and they made an offer already so it doesnt have to take a year :) FOS have been great throughout
  • Hi there,

I have just had a letter back from Egg CC saying that I was not miss sold the PPI during an online app as
    their online sales process
    a. does not require taking the PPI as a condition of obtaining the CC
b.does not provide an advisory service
c.required you positively to confirm that you wished to purchase the policy during the online app
d.provided full t's and c's of the policy and requested that you read them before submitting.

Help!!!! I dont remember ticking a box!! They also have enclosed a copy of the real time application and said that if I had not opted into the PPI then the box would say none not accident, sickness, unemployment and life.
I was working at the time as a relief care worker and not in full time permanent work so I would no have opted knowingly.

Any advice please or do I just leave it??

    thanks

I would pursue it, I had the same back from Nationwide. Even if you did agree to it, I have been told before that you have to have it so of course you would agree. I was prepared for mine to take years but its almost sorted already you can download the form from the FOS website. Good luck
  • Superwhy - I have just seen your post regarding the Welcome Finance PPI reclaiming.

I don't want to dishearten you but it took me a year. I started my claim in October 2007 with one letter outlining everything. After that one letter, they sent me their Final Response letter which I then passed onto the Financial Ombudsman along with every other piece of paperwork I had ever been sent in relation to the loan.

The loan was for £2000 but totalled to £5614.00 with interest and PPI (which is also charged a compound interest after being told by the adjudicator at the Financial Ombudsman). Without the PPI, my loan would have ended in December 2007 but upto the offer date which was only Wednesday, Welcome Finance were still claiming I owed them £1200 when the loan with the PPI was supposed to end in September 2009.

Anyhoo, my case was with the Financial Ombudsman since November 2008, was seen by an adjudicator in September 2009 and the offer was made November 2009. They have offered a full refund of the PPI plus any related interest plus 8% interest on top. I have accepted this offer. I don't know how much this is (but I have an idea) or when I will be recieving this but the long and short of it is, that it may have taken me a year but my loan has finally ended plus some money back to boot!

It's a long winded process but stick with it, it'll be worth your while in the long run.

    Hi Sarah
    Sorry to hear this.

However, this is standard for EGG and if sold online.
There have been quite a few given the same response as you, but if this was the final decision, take this to the FOS, because they know how EGG work.
If this was not the final decision - then write back until they issue you with this, with the FOS details enclosed.
Keep at them, and tell them you do not agree with their decision, despite this being sold online, you gave your reasons and want them to reconsider, otherwise take to the FOS.
You will get there, good luck.;)
