What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI
    Who was the provider: Egg
How much did you get back: £4482
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Letter to company from the templates on MSE

Amount to be deducted off my husbands egg loan. Was Really surprised that they responded so quickly !

  • Hello - Have just sent off my acceptance for my 2nd success with LTSB for ppi. This was for a loan that closed in January last year.

I received the letter to say they were looking at my case on 11th Nov and letter with the offer of returning ppi with 8% interest on 20th Nov. Have been really impressed with the quickness of it all after reading some of the experiences people have had on these threads.

Waiting to hear on Capital One charges (They have already made low offer).

    • Who was the provider: Bank of Scotland
    • How much did you get back: £4162( inc interest) to be confirmed
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1st Letter
Wrote to BOS 29/09/09 claiming misselling on a loan taken out Jan 2003.

Received 2 holding letters, looking into complaint.

Today received a letter quoting my reasons and that they have considered the information available to them.

Having done so and in view of the fact I am a valued customer, they have decided to pay me an amount which will put me back in the position I would have been had I not taken the insurance.

They will contact me shortly to confirm the exact details of the amount that will be paid.

It is anticipated the payment will be made within the next month by cheque if an open account is not held.

They couldn't find details of my previous loan but I can ring them with the details and they will look into it.Telephoned 16/11 to give them my older loan number, he will log this as a separate claim with the same reasons, so hopefully wil not hold up payment on this accepted claim.
