Just got back £4,700 of A&L Credit card PPI..thats great you would think, but they paid it off the balance of my outstanding credit card debt,is they anyway i can make them send me a cheque for this amount as this seems very unfair, has anyone got any advice on how to go about getting this refunded to myself. cheers
If there are no arrears or have never been arrears then from what we are aware you should be entitled to have the redress paid to you. There is another thing that "may" have happened here in that the redress can sometimes be done like this and then they withdraw again and send you the cheque. They do this sometimes to tally all the accounts. I am not sure if this has happened here but its just something that has happened to others on here.

I would write and ask them to pay it over to you (or ring) and see what they say.

    Good luck

Black Horse Success !!! Capital One Success!!

After several template letters and Black horse telling me that they were not covered by the FO so I had no compliant I finally had an email today from Black Horse saying

    Dear Mr

I can confirm that I have arranged for a member of our Complaints Handing Unit to review your case and a response has been sent to you today regarding agreement 395.

We are unable to find any evidence that this policy has been mis-sold, however, in the interests of bringing this matter to a conclusion, we are prepared to offer you a full refund of the premiums that you have paid and will also pay the 8% statutory interest that the Financial Ombudsman would award in such cases.

The letter that has been sent to you will contain an acceptance slip that you will need to sign and return. On receipt of this, our Complaints Handling Unit will arrange for the payment to be sent to you.

I hope this addresses you concerns but if you have any further questions, please let me know.

    Regards

Not 100% sure how much but its anothner win !!

Also received 135 pounds today from Cap 1 for Credit Card PPI:T Thanks for all your help and advice guys

I have recently been awarded £3086 from B Card but they used it to clear my account despite it not being in default although some late charges had been made against the account. Hey ho I thought, at least I could use the card for a while to get back, but they then slashed my limit to £250!
Should I go after them for the money?

I would certainly give it a go if you have not been in arrears although if there are late charges does that not mean that the account was in arrears?? As I say, you have nothing to lose by asking...;)

I have had charges for late payments on the account, but at the time, and I made a point of paying as I knew the refund was due, I was not late or over my credit limit. Any advice?

    Cheers
