Once again congrats to all the sucess stories of late!!!
Just to keep you posted have sent 2nd letter to Nationwide CC for refund of PPI after reply stating I had not been misold.
Also have e-mailed 1st letter to Egg CC for refund of PPI.
Now just got to be patient!!
Just for everyones info these were both internet applications for CC.
Been sat here thinking had a loan with Halifax many moons ago which I payed off I'm sure it would have had PPI on, as the loan is all done with I have no details should I still have a go? How is the best way to go about this?0 -
Hi, Yeah I would go for the Halifax loan as well, i have just started a reclaim on an old woolwich loan that has been paid off for a few years and think I may have had ppi on that too, I also have not got the paperwork and it may take a bit longer but nothing to lose.
Hi there, yeah looks like it might take us a bit longer with no details but definitely worth a shot. Keep in touch and let me know how you're getting on.0 -
we were approached a few months ago by a company wanting to help me claim back miss sold ppi however they wanted £300 upfront and would take 33% of whatever they managed to recover for us, but igood friend showed me this fantastic site with all the information i needed to do it my self.
we have got rather bad credit and highinteres loan comapnys wrongly take agvantage of this we were told on 2 occasions we had to takeout ppi in order to be approved forcredit for our loan/finance none the wiser and at the time desperate wee took there word for it.
with the help of this this site i sent my letters to the 2 companies welcome finance & funding corporation ( dont ever use either trust me!!!!
welcome finance we have just recived a final settlement from them for over £5000 thank you martin lewis this is money we didnt even realise had been conned out of us they have given us a full refund plus interest but have not accepted liability for missselling to us.
funding corportaion on the other hand have not been so forth coming infact i have found there replies and offers insulting but with the help of this site and they letters and guides i am now persuing them via the financial ombusman so watch this space !!!!

Alliance & Leicester PPI reclaim success story here!
I had an 18 month loan from them in 2006 and was told I had to take out PPI or I couldn't have the loan. I started reading on here about PPI being mis-sold so decided to try & claim mine back. I wrote to them, and about 6 weeks later I received a cheque for just under £700 :-)0 -

I tried reclaiming PPI on a loan I took out in 2003 with HFC Bank. I had nothing to loose and followed your advice and I sent the letters using your templates. I have now received an offer of £8314 (including interest)from the bank. The whole process took about 2 months and I didn't need to go to the ombudsman.
Thanks this has really helped. I am now following your advice regarding the bank charges.0 -
