hi pinknico, a very odd thing has happened with the yorkshire bank loan that you said go for it:A, i have paid this for the past 4 years at £30 a week by standing order, on friday it wasnt taken! i thought it was a blip on the internet banking site and they would take it monday, no they didnt. it has not been taken today either!! the standing order is still showing active and the next payment is on as the 6th november. now it could be that they are going to give me the ppi back and have stopped taking the payments or, and i think this is the most likely scenario, that they are giving me the £30 as a goodwill gesture, watch this space lol

  • Just received just over £4000.00 from Barclays, £3000 for PPI and £1000 in interest, Barclays do take their time in replying and keep sending letters saying they are looking into it. Took about 7 months from time I sent them my first letter:beer::beer:

Basically, what they are saying is it was a non advised sale of PPI but as this was since regulations began in Jan 2005 there was still guidance in force at the time they should have followed. Its a bit of a get out clause saying non advised but you can still go to FOS if they do not uphold when you write back as I take it this is not their final response. If it is their final then take the complaint to FOS.

Take a look at this leaflet and before you write again see if you can pick out anything that applies.

    Good luck

Thanks hun... It also says in the letter that if they recieve no response in 8 weeks then they will class the complaint as resolved. Im not giving up. I dont need the card anymore anyway :-). For them to say that it wasnt missold is a bit strange and that they contacted all the customers who were affected as im within those dates!. Waaaaaaaaaaarrrrr lol :rotfl:
