    • What were you reclaiming: loan insurance
    • Who was the provider: HSBC
    • How much did you get back: almost £4000
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1 letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale: I took out a loan with HSBC in 2006 - at the time I was told I would not be approved if I didn't get the PPI. The person at the bank also checked a checklist for me and told me to sign it to "speed things up". I felt pressured at the time but just wanted to sort the loan out. I knew that this was wrong after reading this website awhile back, but only recently gained the confidence to claim back money that was mine (thanks to reading the encouraging stories of all of the people on this forum). I sent the first letter August 24th. On 7 Sept I received a letter saying they were looking into it. 28th Sept another letter arrived saying they were still looking into it but there was a delay because of the backlog. Then, today, I had another letter with the offer. I just wanted to share my story to encourage others to DON'T DOUBT YOURSELF- if you know your bank has mis-sold to you then don't hesitate like I did. Thanks to all of you who have shared in the past, good luck to all of those who are claiming/planning to claim and also a big thank you to Martin Lewis. This site is really opening my eyes to many things that I'm not going to put up with from now on.

    Wow, well done and Congratulations.

    Hi advice please - - - - Lloyds TSB

I am suppose to be getting my ppi refund i have accepted their offer and they said i would have it in my bankin 21 days that was months ago i keep ringing and they just keep fobbin me off saying it will be another 21 days... what shall i do, i ring every day but get different stories off every1????????????????

    thanks for any advice

    Hi Yellowstar

That is bad of them isn't it?

I would ring the FOS on this one, its just not fair that you have to keep waiting for your own money.

I always think, if they were to pay out extra interest on the compo on every week you have been waiting - it would be a different story then wouldn't it?

I would maybe ring them first, tell them if you do not receive this in the account by say 14 days of this call, you will take further action.
Or write a quick letter and post by signed delivery.

Then give the FOS a ring here:

Good luck and hope you receive your money soon.;)
