Had 2 loans that had been paid off with PPI, full settlements without interest paid back no need for Ombudsmen! Grand total of £3350.
Will be happier once paid tho'
Thanks Martin, now fighting a couple of Lombard loans which they have rejected but offered a goodwill payment of £750 for one of them!
Your a star!

I still have my original loan agreement with Lloyds TSB. Like a lot of people I just assumed the LPI was compulsory - I will be sending the first letter this week; a quick calculation shows I've paid about £1300 for a product/service I've never used or had any need for.
Many thanks to all the people on here who give such invaluable advice0 -

Hi everyone
I took out a loan with Nationwide in 2007, I was made to believe that if I did not take out the PPI then the loan would be rejected. I cancelled the PPI a few months later and received a cheque for the premiums not used but the interest was not returned and is still included in the total loan amount. I am having financial difficulties at the moment and all my debts (including the loan) are being handled by the Citizens Advice Bureau, can I still claim that the PPI was mis-sold and get the interest charged back?0 -
Yes you can.DS1 12/10/04

I'm new at this, so forgive me if I seem a bit dense ... when I give my reasons for the mis-selling of the policy do I just include a couple that I think are applicable to my case?
Any speedy response is welcome - looks like I have to get that letter sent before the post strike :eek:0 -

HSBC Bank
Claimed £5400
Paid £6300
Thank you Martin Lewis. I sent them the letter July this year claiming for the PPI charges of my personal loan. Just over a week after I got the first letter that they were dealing with my complaint and conducting an investigation. 2-3 weeks later, I received the next letter stating that they were offering me full payment of my claim plus interest.I just had to sign the acceptance letter and post it back. I am so happy,,,,,,,
Thank you again to Martin Lewis and this very helpful website.0 -
