PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

PPI reclaiming + HFC bank - The Financial Ombudsman Service helped me with a claim I had for the miss selling of PPI against the HFC bank. The bank agreed to settle my complaint and repay me. It has now been nearly 7 months since they agreed to repay me but i have not received any payment or had any contact from the bank. I have been in touch with the FOS about this but they just say they will chase this up for me.
Does anybody know if the banks have a time limit to repay my claim or has anybody else been in a similar situation as me?
ALL HELP WELCOMED!!!!!!!!
Hi there
Blimey they have taken their time with this haven't they?
So I take it this case was already moved on from an Adjudicator to the ombudsman then?
They should take note of what the ombudsman.
I would contact the FOS again after the bank holiday and ask what your best direction would be from here, because this have gone on for far too long, they have had more than ample time to pay this out.
Good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Sam....;)
As amersall says, yes you can if you were mis sold the PPI for any reason, I would go for it.
It will also help if successful to bring down any debt, also being mis sold have not helped, because you were obviously out of pocket due to this happening, and only reclaiming what is rightfully yours.
For more information check Martin's useful link below, you will find a checklist of mis selling reasons
Template letters etc.
If you require help after checking this through, please do post up to ask, your most welcome.

Hi all?
A quick question for the forum, I have just sent my second letter to black horse to reclaim ppi and life insurance taken out on 2 loans. Do you know how they refund if the loan has been sold on to a collector?
Will they pay me the refund or send it to the collector? thanks0 -

I sent off Martin's letter 2 wks ago and have received a response from All & Leic paying me back £1600!!! I was pushed into taking the ppi after clearly stating I didnt need it but didnt think about reclaiming until 2 wks ago when I started reading this site regularly.
