PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has had any sucess with DEBENHAMS storecards (GE MONEY) now SANTANDER? I have sent in my first letter and received their standard "the policy was not mis-sold if you are not happy contact the FLA", I sent them a second more detailed letter and basically received the same response. From reading posts on here I am not confident in going to the FLA, but I am considering court action.
Please if anyone has had any success with GE/SANTANDER any advice would be appreciated. Thankyou

It didn't take long at all. The FOS wrote to me on the 17th of July 2009 and I sent back the acceptance letter on the 3rd of August 2009. Refund was in my account on Monday the 17th.

I think you should contact the FOS and advise them that they have not got back to you within the 12 weeks.

I wrote a letter to Citi Financial on 31st July and recieved a letter from them on 7th August to say they are looking into the case and yesterday we recieved a chq for £1700, not bad at all. I have also written a letter to Welcome finance on 31st July, but as yet am waiting to here from them

Hello everyone,

Sent Letter June 2009 complaining I was mis-sold as it was a condition of getting the Loan that we had to take the PPI out. July 09 confirmed in writing they would uphold my complaint and send me a cheque refunding me, inclusive of Interest :j

Arrived back from holiday last night, logged on to check our bank account online this morning and £1250 was credited from Black Horse into our account yesterday! :T The full amount plus interest.

Thanks to everyone on this Forum and to Martins template letter - you are brilliant!:rotfl:
