PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

- What were you reclaiming:PPI
- Who was the provider: Lloyds TSB
- How much did you get back: £4079+intereser
- Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Went through the FOS, and it took about 14 months to be resolved
- And then write your brief reclaim tale. I took out a loan in year 2000 and was missold the PPI. Didn't even know it was missold until I read it on this website when I was looking for a template to claim my bank charges in 2007. A big thank you to Martin and God bless. Many thanks to all you guys who put their testimonies on here, they encouraged me to persue this claim.

Hi All,
Just wanted to say a Big Thank you to everyone that helped me reclaim my PPI from Northern Rock.
I used the template letter and imediatly got a questionair from NR to probe a little more then it was ages till I heard anything so phoned them up to find out what was happening to hear they had sent me a letter, this didn't get through to me. They said they would send me another, this also didn't get through so called again and they offered to send me an email and the letter again. This time I recieved both and had been offered all of the money back that I had paid + 8% interest as a GOGW. This letter was of an old date so I asked for the money to be updated with the susiquent payments that I had made since this letter was typed and they finnally refunded all of the money.
Don't know if many people are claiming back from NR or having problems however if you are having problems then would advise that you call their Helpdesk they were very helpfull and I even ended up getting through to the same people.
Last week the money was finnaly put into my back account and now I am £600 better off.
Thanks again to every one if you are thinking of trying then go for it for the cost of a couple special delivery letters its well worth it.

Hey Di, rolled the dice against MBNA yesterday and sent them the 1st template letter. Went for the pushy salesperson and non financial backround angles! Worth a shot I thought.0
