Evening all my MSE friends- had anyone awaiting compensation from Picture Finance received a letter from Deloitte yet??
I received one today saying the following:
You have submitted a compensation claim to FSCS. To try to minimise the delay in assessing your claim FSVC has forwarded your claim onto Deloitte to begin processing.
We can confirm that we have received yout application from the FSCS for your claim and the initial reviews have now been completed. we will therefore begin processing your claim shortly and will contact you should we require any further information.
Does this sound to anyone like good news?
Look forward to hearing from anyone soon

I'm hoping it's good news, I received the same letter today. What date did you submit your claim form

They have so many don't they?
Hopefully someone will confirm the correct one for you, but I do know they should end up passing on to the correct dept for you anyway.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I am a newcomer here but all the posts make a great and facinating read. Congrats to all who have been successful.
I have recently sent in a complaint form to the FOS after discovering how much I have paid over the last 4 years in PPI on my lloyds tsb loan and after waiting nearly 3 months for the bank to respond to my complaint (which they are still unable to give me a response). I have just had a reply from FOS saying that the next step will be to pass my case on to an adjudicator.
Any advice on how long this is taking at the moment? I know they are really busy now. Also what factors could result in a decision to not uphold my complaint???
I know I have nothing to lose but not feeling too optimistic even though I really am annoyed at the bank for selling me PPI which I have just about paid in total now over £6000 when the reason for the loan in the first place was to consolidate debts!!!
Also any advice on successful Loyds TSB claims would be great to hear
Thanks
Hi there and welcome.;)
Once it's passed on to the adjudicator, basically the standard time of that is approx 6 weeks, this will depend on the decision then made by the adjudicator, hopefully it should go in your favour, as its Lloyds tsb, and the FOS have dealt with stacks of complaints in regards of this company, and are now well know for mis selling the PPI.
If the adjudicator upholds in your favour then its then hoping that Lloyds will agree, if this is the case then arrangments will be made with you through the FOS, with an offer etc.
If not resolved, it is then moved on to the ombudsman, this can take some waiting, but hopefully in your case it will be sooner rather than later.
An example of my longest claim with the FOS was approx 14 months, but yet it was a rather complexed case.
Good luck and please let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I complained to HSBC not about the way the plan was sold to me in the first place, but about the fact that they wouldn't let me cancel it. They had asked for a letter form my parents stating that they would pay off my loan should I be unable to pay. This of course was rubbish, but being young and naive I accepted it and kept the ppi.
I sent one letter based on the Money Saving Expert template, waited a month and got a letter from them yesterday saying that they are offering me £2,068.99 (they are not accepting that my accusations are true however). I had not expected anything in all honesty as I had taken this out in 2003 and thought they would tell me I had waitied too long to complain. I thought I was owed around £800 however they repayed EVERYTHING I had paid to them - even though I hadn't tried to cancel it till over a year into the loan, plus any interest etc.

Thanks for all your info, i am not sure if they explained it all to me as it was a long time ago but i will do some research thanksjust read your post, if the ppi was sold to you without a full explanation what it was for and what and when you could claim then you should go for mis sell, were you pressured into taking it? or told it was a good ppi and it suits you. if you go on ppi complaints at the beginning of the forum there are reasons you can go for mis sell. see if any of those apply to you if if they do go ahead with mis sell, if not, as max says then you will not have a claim0

I want to share by payment protection insurance claim victory with everyone! :j
wrote a letter to evil Egg to get money back from PPI on a loan i took out in 2005 (i then paid the loan off in 2006 by way of consolidation - bad move - i had the future PPI payments refunded but not the payments i had already made)
I then sent a letter from the templates on this site to them stating that the PPI was missold to me and i thought the salesperson was pushy etc and i got a nice juicy cheque in the post saturday morning for £514.84 (which includes a £100.13 interest payment too!!!)
im sooooo happpppyyyyyyy!!!!! :j:j:j
thats a big wedge off my debts!!! YAY!!!!
big up MSE and :money: yiipppeeeeee!!!I have learnt from my in-debt days....never again!0
