  • Had a letter last week saying that it was taking longer than expected.OH phoned lasts week and they said another 2 weeks which would be the full 8 weeks however offer came today so 7 weeks.Hoping it won`t take long to receive the cheque

Just this morning received a letter from A&L saying they are to refund me £1418.19!!! :j:j:beer:

I just can't believe it, it only took about 7 weeks, and all for the price of a stamp!!

Thank you so much for all that gave (and give!) advice on here, and to Martin for the site.

    Hi there

As our Maxdp have said, request for the true copy of your agreement (CCA) by writing and enclose your £1 cheque or postal order payment, it is also best to post by recorded delivery as well, this way you can keep a check on the 12 days they have, by tracking your recorded delivery receipt on the Royal Mail website.

You can write to Lloyds DATA dept here:

    Copy Statement Unit
    Lloyds TSB plc
    Swallow House
    10 Swallow Street
    Birmingham
    B1 2AL

For more addresses you may require you will find them on this thread here:

Good luck and if you need help with the PPI reclaiming when your ready, please post up.;)

Wrote to Egg 6 days ago claiming ppi back on the pure basis of them being fined for mis-selling. Two days later an acknowledgement, today a letter saying cheque coming for £1600. My girlfriend also got £700. We are both amazed at the speed and all for a first class stamp.

Thanks to Martin for all the advice but also to all the users here who have provided knowledge, info, assistance and reassurance unwittingly. Cheers. Just 4 more providors to go at...

Brilliant, well done and Congratulations to you and your girlfriend.

Got home yesterday to find two letters waiting for me.

First from CitiFinancial saying they could find no evidence of mis-selling the PPI but as a goodwill gesture they were refunding the premium, cheque enclosed for £1012.95 :D

The other was from Egg regarding PPI on a loan. They did't say if they upheld the claim or not but they were also refunding the PPI. Should have enclosed a cheque for £495.52 but there was nothing enclosed!! They will be getting a phone call on Monday!

Both these successes are off the back of just one letter each and have taken just 3 weeks.

Still got another claim ongoing with Egg regarding credit card PPI but i've had to refer that to the FOS last week and also re-claiming on a loan with HSBC but so far have only had the acknowledgement letter from them.

Wouldn't have even thought about re-claiming if it wasn't for this website. Thanks so much for all the good advice!

    Wow, well done and Congratulations.

  • I used the letter that was on the site, not expecting to get anything back. Barclays declined my claim so after being on this site I went to the Banking Ombudsman and received a letter last week saying my claim was upheld. Thanks so much.

never thought i'd be saying this but barclays made our day today.
got a letter saying they are repaying our ppi with interest.about £1500 in total. they are deducting this from our current loan then re organising a new loan for the total left to pay at same % as previous loan. so we have not only knocked £1500 off our loan, repayments will be nearly £50 a mth less.just in time for xmas :D
even better as we forgot about it and left it with barclays ,we had forgotten to apply to ombudsman.
just got to wait for new loan documents to come through now.

need to say cheer to all the advise on here as without it i would never of even tried.
