Hi, I know can't understand why they take so long...when I spoke to Egg last they said that they were working very closely with the FO at the moment on these claims...so they should have no excuse. Also don't understand how they can get away with not replying to the adjudicator, and not submitting any new evidence for the ombudsman to look at...

Were the 2 weeks from the claim being passed to the ombudsman, or is it 2 weeks since you heard that the ombudsman was defo looking at it? I know mine went into the queue for the ombudsman final decision last week.....

some one rang me to ask a couple of questions and tell me it was being passed to the Ombudsman , this was a week after the adjudicator told me it would have to go to the Ombudsman as Egg hadnt replied and then two weeks after this I got the Ombudsman decision. So in all 3 weeks from when Egg should have replied to the Ombudsman but only two from when I was told it was being passed on to him.

hi all. hope alls well with everyone x a question for you all. who would you complain to about ppi (front loaded) that puts you in negative equity from day one, eg property market value £145000, first charge £43000 secured loan £90000= £133000 then the ppi loan (because it is a loan over the term of the original loan with interest dont forget) of £23000 = £156000 = negative equity = £23000 !!!! i wonder how many have this negative equity (maybe not as much as this?) but all the same it is negative. how can this be justified? i was thinking how wrong this is, you go into neg equity from the start of the loan because of a insurance policy? this is ludicrous, and how can they secure insurance on your property? this should not be allowed,. the ppi should not be put on your loan and the total can be reclaimed back as the total amount when they repo you,so either way (in my logic)weather or not you cancel front loaded ppi you still pay for it and when they repo they get it back?i was thinking in dialysys case. maybe like everyone else these ppi payments put her in hardship originally?as the monthly payments are atrocious in some cases and you only need a cut in hours or redundancy to fall seriously behind. this is worth thinking about, any thoughts? sorry if it sounds rambling but hope you understand it LOL

Hello, the Ombudsman took two weeks and they should have received my "I agree with the result" form today. Will let you know when they pay up, still cant see how they can pay out in 1 week for complaints settled without FOS A and FOS complaints payments are taking months. Hopefully the FOS have had a word and payment will be swift!

Hi pinknico, do not hold your breath Egg drag there feet all the time our first letter to them was November 2007, 2ND letter and on to FOS, got the "I agree with the result" beginning July still waiting for Egg, like you say a lot of people are now being paid out without FOS and quickly, just hope they have some money left for us.
    Terry.
