Hello, the Ombudsman took two weeks and they should have received my "I agree with the result" form today. Will let you know when they pay up, still cant see how they can pay out in 1 week for complaints settled without FOS A and FOS complaints payments are taking months. Hopefully the FOS have had a word and payment will be swift!

Hi There.

If you took it out and were aware of what you were doing then you cannot claim the premiums back as they were not miss sold. You can however cancel the insurance usually one months notice I believe.

Anyone tried claiming from first national bank plc?We`re claiming from several companies through a 3rd party.However we can`t get hold of first national regarding our policy number.We have tried several numbers but are getting nowhere.Either getting unattainable tone or answer is we are ********* not first national.Ihave tried numbers for London ,Northhants,Ireland.

ive just been reading this thread and need advice - i had an egg loan which i paid early with a consolidation loan in 07 although im 99% sure i paid PPI but ive no record of agreement number . is it worth ringing egg to get details and try to reclaim-thank you

Hi, I know can't understand why they take so long...when I spoke to Egg last they said that they were working very closely with the FO at the moment on these claims...so they should have no excuse. Also don't understand how they can get away with not replying to the adjudicator, and not submitting any new evidence for the ombudsman to look at...

Were the 2 weeks from the claim being passed to the ombudsman, or is it 2 weeks since you heard that the ombudsman was defo looking at it? I know mine went into the queue for the ombudsman final decision last week.....

just read your post, if the ppi was sold to you without a full explanation what it was for and what and when you could claim then you should go for mis sell, were you pressured into taking it? or told it was a good ppi and it suits you. if you go on ppi complaints at the beginning of the forum there are reasons you can go for mis sell. see if any of those apply to you if if they do go ahead with mis sell, if not, as max says then you will not have a claim
