Hello arthur, hope you are ok and taking your own advice and having a giggle! xx
Di, I was just curious to see who was defaulted first Picture or Two part or if it was at the same time, the FSCS should be the best to tell you but don't bother on my behalf, I was just wondering.xx
Hi Pinknico,
That's okay, we are curious as well lol, hubby told me to send a quick email, because the last email from them just confirmed they had just come to an end of their investigations, then suddenly we receive that letter from Deloittes.
I will email them and let you know when we know.;)XXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

What were you reclaiming: PPI
Who was the provider: HFC Bank
How much did you get back: £3639.66
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Financial Ombudsman
And then write your brief reclaim tale I have just came back from holiday to a letter from HFC saying they are refunding my PPI plus interest, total of £3639.66:j
I am so pleased this has taken over a year!! I sent off the template to HFC and had no luck at all. Wrote to the FOS in November 08, they put me on waiting list, then wrote to me in March 09 saying they were dealing with the case and what a result well worth the wait!:money:0 -

Only heard about the miss-selling PPI info a month ago so thought I would give it a try with a loan that we got from AA Finance.
We went down the pre-existing illness route using the templates provided on this website.
We received a letter a week later from Bank of Scotland explaining that they have 8 weeks to come back with an answer etc...standard response.
2 days ago we got another letter stating that they wont accept liability but will refund us the money plus applicable interest! They will be writing again shortly with the amount to be refunded.
So pleased and glad that I went ahead with this. Thanks for everyones success storys as without those I wouldn't have done it.

I took out a personal loan with the Alliance and Leicester to purchase a car. I intended to repay the loan over 12 months as my job would come to the end of its contract at that time. At the time of taking out the loan I felt pressurised in taking out insurance protection. After 11 months my job came to an end leaving me to find one month's instalment on my loan. I informed the bank that there would be a problem meeting this last instalment and made a claim on my insurance policy only to be told that I was only covered for death and kept harassing me for my payment. At this time I was also chasing this bank for unlawful bank charges - a long story.
To cut another long story short, I settled the loan and tried to reclaim the PPI on the grounds that I had been mis sold the policy since I did not think I had only 12 months to live. This was turned down.
I received a letter this week from the Alliance and Leicester advising that after an FSA investigation into their insurance poilicies they had to refund premiums paid plus interest. Thank you FSA!:beer:0 -
