OMG you lot what about sleep. My daughter who is 17 and on holidays from College is going to bed about 2.am and getting up at 11am. Has been trying to get work but not having much luck at moment I am afraid. Anyway 5.30 this morning she came running into my room saying there was a Hornets nest in her bedroom. After taking a while to come to I checked she was not sleep walking or anything and made my way to her room. There was one very grumpy huge bumble bee stuck on her net curtains after about 5 mins I was able to get him out he was not happy so disaster was averted. Told her she needed to go to drama school.

Thank you after reading the initial thread i wasnt certain if we had any but a day later we received a letter from Liverpool and Victoria advising us about how much was owed on a loan and there it was ppi my husband told me they told him he couldnt have the loan unless he took it out so that was it i wrote a letter along the lines of your template and within 12 weeks we had a cheque for over £700 plus £90+ compensation. Thank you so much. If anyone is any doubt about claiming do whats the worst that can happen - they say no. Have a go its your money.:j
  • I recevied a call today at work from the FOS (my adjudicator) re my complaint with the BOS for not refunding a payment to my account for 7 months they refunded it now and added about an extra £200 too but I said to the FOS still wasnt happy - they have offered me £100 as an inconvenience payment and wanted me to accept it as they said it didnt technically put me into financial difficulty which is possibly true but hey I am lucky to get that thought I wouldnt get anything....so my acceptance form is going to be sent tonight in the mail and if I sign it they will issue a cheque to me,......woo hoo am soo pleased so thats 1 down and about a million to go......:eek:

Happy tho and going to open a post office account for the money I get back so I can keep it separate from my bank account and also use it if I really need to ie try and keep it there as long as I can......so my next victim is the credit card places for my refund of charges lol ho hum the list is endless :rotfl::confused:

  • Dear Moneysavers,
I bank with LLoydstsb and claimed back my PPI with help from this website.
I initially approached the bank and asked for them to pay back my PPI (on an initial loan of £2000.00) and they sent me back a polite letter that told me that they were sorry for my upset but couldnt help. they were happy for me to appeal against this decision at the time. I did appeal and i got the same answer that they were sorry for any distress but they sure as hell were'nt giving me any money. At the end of this letter i was told that i could go to the ombudsman. I was dis-heartened and was sure i woulnt get anything. I thought that if i at least went to the ombudsman then i would have taken the matter as far as i could so i wrote. It took a good few months but in the end i got back £1500.00 plus a "goodwill" cheque of £300.00. i was so happy!! i now only have another £290.00 left to pay on my loan rather than £1900.00 plus the compound interest. to all you who are thinking of giving up or not bothering, please take up your cases and claim it really is worth it!!!!

    Well done raindaisy.
I found Liverpool Vicotoria to be one of my easier ones to reclaim on, this was back last year and if I remember correctly it had taken one letter only and about 4 weeks.;)

Until yesterday I was on a payment plan to clear a loan that I had defaulted on. The loan was with the Alliance & Leicester and was taken out in July 2001. I
wrote one letter to them regarding the PPI which had been applied to the loan. After approx 2 weeks I got an acknowledgement letter back and then yesterday I got a letter back advising that they had looked into my case and that I was due a refund of all the PPI payments I had made to date from the start of the loan which came to £2,425. They have now used some of this money to clear my debt to them and the balance of £980 is coming to me in a cheque......woohooo!!

I have just one question.....I had another loan with the Alliance & Leicester which started in 1999 for 2 years....can I claim the same for this loan or is there a time limit?

    Oh good for you:T

It is usually 6 ears from the account was active. Do you still have the paperwork. It is worth giving it a go as you have been refunded on the last one. Let us know how you get on.
