ANTHOZ, if egg had received your letter they would have replied straight away so either ring them or write again. Where did you send it?
Also it does not matter that your loan was taken out in 2002.

Well it's nice to hear of people getting their claims paid quickly by Egg. But I know for a fact that you are of the minority not the majority.
I sent off Martins template letter back in January 2009 about a loan's PPI single premium policy taken out over the phone back in 2004 that was mis-sold to me , basically I was told I had to have the PPI to have the loan.
So far I have received the standard response of "we'll look into it". A wait of 8 weeks then another letter stating that they are still looking at it and have still not made a decision !!
I thought I would give them more time as they are obviously snowed under with complaints.
17 weeks later yes 17 weeks later and after several phone calls and letters Egg have done nothing !!
They were obviously hoping that I would go past the 6 months allowed between my initial complaint with Egg and putting in a complaint with the FOS.( Go beyond this time frame and the Ombudsman won't even look at it !!)
Well after 17 weeks of Egg being unable to either reject or uphold my claim ,in fact doing absolutely nothing , the complaint was sent to the ombudsman where it will now stay untill it reaches the top of the pile I suppose.

Good luck to everyone claiming what is rightfully theirs ! and well done to those winners to date.

    Regards

I dont know if this has been covered in the last nearly 300 pages of this thread, But, what happens if you have been misold PPI and you only got 3/4 way through paying egg loan and credit card bills until your account was sold of to a debt collection agency, can you still reclaim the PPI , even though in my case it never actually covered my redundancy :(
