    Provider HSBC
Amount received £1021 inclusibe of £73 interest
    Stage Stage 1 letter

Took out loan March 2007, missold PPI, complained by letter June 2007. Was fobbed off and advised to complain to Ombudsman. Did not complain and ran out of time .
Read on money saving expert of record fines on HFC, a subsidiary of HSBC.
Wrote to bank again in April 2009 using stage one letter, they responded immediately on 16.4.09 requesting more time to 4 weeks. On 15.5 09, they requested another 4 weeks and on 16.6.09 sent a settlement letter. They made clear they did not admit to liability but would settle me. I will be visiting the branch this week to restructure my loan balance without PPI which incidentally has also reduced by at least £2000. I am over the moon.:j
Thank you martin:money: and all the members of this website who have encouraged me to not give up.

What - ppi on 4 loans
How much - waiting for calculations
Letter or Ombudsman - phone call to bank
    How long - 9 weeks
    Provider - Bank Of Scotland

    Hi All,
Just want to report success on 2 of the 4 loans i had with Bank Of Scotland. When i complained last year to Halifax (my bank) about mis-sold ppi on previous loans they assured me they will look into all the loans i had previously, prob about 11 in total spanning over a period of 12 years. As i was no longer in receipt of any paperwork i assumed when the compensation paid out last year (3 loans) from Halifax, this took into account my BOS loans also as they are the same company. After looking at my credit file a few months back i realised some of the loans were in the name of BOS. I contacted them to be told i had 4 previous loans with them and these were never investigated when my Halifax complaint was done. So for a 5 minute phone call i am to receive ppi back for 2 of these and the other 2 are still being investigated.

    Happy days:j

    Hi all

After much stalling by Barclays, i have finally recieved my letter from the FO detailing that Barclays must settle this complaint in my favour in four weeks from the date of the letter - was the 10th June.

So happy that it will soon all be over! Barclays have really behaved horribly throughout the whole process and are constantly delaying things. Infact, the FO even put in the letter that compensation should be paid for them disputing my complaint when they knew i would win! Lovely stuff :rotfl:

I'm a happy bunny but i'll be even happier when the money is in my account! I fully expect them to take the full 4 weeks to do so but never mind. It's on it's way :-)

    Hi
Just thought id let you know that i got my new loan agreement today, which I needs to sign and return which will then release the refund.Yahoo!
It has taken just over 2 weeks for them to get back to me since the breakdown letter they sent on 3rd June.Possibly speeded up by my persistent ringing. So go for it-bombard them with calls and get that money.Wonder how long before it is in my account?- but its getting nearer.

    Regards
