    Hi all

After much stalling by Barclays, i have finally recieved my letter from the FO detailing that Barclays must settle this complaint in my favour in four weeks from the date of the letter - was the 10th June.

So happy that it will soon all be over! Barclays have really behaved horribly throughout the whole process and are constantly delaying things. Infact, the FO even put in the letter that compensation should be paid for them disputing my complaint when they knew i would win! Lovely stuff :rotfl:

I'm a happy bunny but i'll be even happier when the money is in my account! I fully expect them to take the full 4 weeks to do so but never mind. It's on it's way :-)

    Dawn

Well done really pleased for you.

  • What were you reclaiming: Personal Loan
Who was the provider: Welcome Finance
How much did you get back: £2389.99
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: It went on for a year and ended up going to the ombudsman, but dont give up.

Welcome finance did not reply to my complaint letters, I contacted the FOS, took some time just over a year but I have nearly £2500 to spend.

I have already paid off the loan so I am really happy, keep going guys you will all get there!

    Hi Dawn
Myself and another poster on this website are waiting for money from Barclays we have both received a letter issued just within the 28 days. However this letter just gives a breakdown of what the refund will be.You then have to wait for another letter which is the acceptance letter you need to sign.I hope you wil do better than us because we are both still waiting for this .I have rung Barclays numerous times and am getting nowhere.I have emailed the FO but my adjudicator is out of the office till next week,so will try again then.
I totally agree with everything you have said about them and I hope you have a bit better luck than us.
I dont know if your loan is still active ,if it is paid off that might help as I am waiting while they restructure mine.

    di3004;Hi there

If the 8 weeks have passed and your still receiving these letters, you are entitled to move this on to the FOS if you want to.;)

Good luck, hope you hear soon with good news.[/QUOTE]

    HI DI3004

I have sent a letter off to them 6 weeks ago, received a first letter last week advising they would be contacting Barclays, so I don't expect an answer anytime soon, judging on everyone elses comments.. By everyone elses comments they have to the worst ones to deal with don't you think?

Thanks for your help x :T:T:T:T:T

    Hi KT

Oh joy, just when i thought Barclays couldn't annoy me anymore eh? My loan was settled over a year ago so they won't have any restructuring to do at least.

Still, we will both get there in the end! I was going to try calling them but that sounds like i would be banging my head against a brick wall over and over again!

Thanks everyone for the congrats! Will let you know when i get a figure from them.
