all ppi complaints should be upheld because it's all a big rip off. Ppi should never have been sold. Period.

And that is why block policies are banned at the end of the month.

    :d

Are you serious? This website/forum is designed to help people get the best deal and make sure they aren't getting ripped off.
From what I've read, it sounds like Southmoss was recommending using a free service.

Why wouldn't you want you want someone to tell people to use a FREE service, on a forum where people are primarily looking for cheap/free ways to do things?

Think about what you are saying.
read the rules for the forum.
it is evident on your intentions of self promoting.
just think about what your saying.
had a flyer dropped last month , i used this company.
then when asked it took 5-6 months
you need £2500 of ppi to use the company mentioned, i think it very unlikely you had this with a £8000 loan.
i dont have to say anything, you will hang yourselvesicon10.gif

    Hi, My name's David, I'm a newbie :)

Thought I'd share my PPI story.

First of all, I started hearing about all this PPI stuff last year but it was quite confusing to me, thankfully this forum has helped clear a lot of stuff up, so I'd recommend it to anyone to anyone who'll listen!

I had a loan with RBS about 5 years ago for £8,000.
After discovering I was wrongly sold this PPI, I decided to claim it all back but I had no idea who to go to or how to go about it.
I had a leaflet dropped through my door advertising a company called Free PPI Claims, I noticed they were based in Penwortham, which is really close to where I live.

I contacted them and they informed me that I can reclaim my PPI, they gave me an estimate amount of how much I can claim back, and they told me they would come and visit me personally to discuss my case.

Well, I'm glad they did, they handled my case for free! It didn't cost me a thing.
At first, I was hesistant about the company as it sounded too good to be true, so I checked them out on the M.O.J website (which I would recommend other users do before dealing with a company ;) and turns out they're trading under a company called Feather Finance, so they're definitely regulated.

So I went ahead with my claim with them, and they ended up claiming back a massive amount for me (about £3,657 with compensation) and it didn't cost me a thing, the only downside I might point out is that there was quite a bit of paperwork, but one of their representatives went through it with me, so it wasn't too bad.

Not sure if they're national or not, but to anyone that lives in/near Lancashire I would suggest checking them out.

    Hope this helps someone!

the website mentioned has not been running for that long.
also the funding for claims to be handled was not long approved.

SO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR SAYING

Thanks for refreshing my memory for me.

Yes, I dealt with Free PPI Claims, but by personally stating who handled my case this does not class as self-promotion. I have no intention of promoting any company, just simply stating my case, so that others can read and understand how my case was handled.

Besides, unless you can offer advice/help to me or anybody else in relation to their reclaiming of PPI, I suggest you refocus your efforts on something other than analysing posts made by new members.

    Hi, My Name is Mark.

    .
    5. You should also challenge the enforceabillty of the loan.

In addition to this infomation, If anybody would like any advice or help please feel free to PM me or contact me on this forum.

Thanks for this Southmoss. I am awaiting a decision from the FSCS in respect of Picture Financial being declared in default. This question has proberbly been asked by many in the past, However as Picture has gone into liquidation and we are waiting for them to be declared in default do we have any rights in respect of making our monthly repayments.
As far as we are aware Picture (Who we originally had the contract with) are no longer trading and a rescue company has taken control over taking repayments from existing customers.
What would happen if we refused to make our monthly repayments and would it be legal for them to enforce further action action.
I would be interested to know how we stand on this.

    Regards

Hi! i posted a month or so back - claiming for my boyfriend for numerous credit cards and loans. So far got £270 from Capital 1 - and today after 7 weeks had our first reply from HSBC.
they've only gone and refunded all premiums paid, plus interest plus stat interest - £1230.
plus are arranging for him to go into branch as will need to re-do his loan. this means that he will more than likely pay it off more than 12 months early.

So so happy. i'm being taken out for a slap up dinner ! woo!

just waiting for barclaycard to come back to us on two cards, and blackhorse who have fobbed us off with one response so far. Fingers crossed.

    Hi beaniebabe,

Is there a PPI on the loan?

Yes there is a PPI and it was mis sold. I am aware I can cancel the PPI, However the amount of the PPI is very small on its own.
