well done!! turbo is the man for figures he is an absolute brain box bar none, if you post up,what was the total amount for ppi added on the loan, how much was the monthly payment for the ppi and how long have you paid this for? , you get back the ppi you have paid and the remainder of the ppi will be taken off the loan, plus of course 8% interest, i am sure you will get all the help you need on this site

Not long then, I have read in regards of claims companies they normally take the minimum of 6-9 months, so your case was more or less straight forward then hence the paperwork?

I need advice... I posted for the first time last week to tell of my success in reclaiming ppi from the Halifax for a loan I have with them. (I haven't got the figures yet).

I had also a claim away to First Plus for a loan I took out in 2005. I claimed mis-selling due to the fact of a pre-existing medical condition for which I am on medication for life, and also that I believed the insurance was essential if I wanted the loan. They have replied today and do not agree that the policy was mis-sold. They say they have listened to telephone calls which confirm this. Can I request a copy of this conversation? What can I do now? I am gutted especially since the Halifax have upheld my claim.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

In regards of Halifax, I would give then 14 days to sent the calculations out, you could ring them to ask if they are going to do this as you have a right to request for these.;)

    And for First Plus:
And yes do so for ASAP request for the copy of the phone recordings, post this request by recorded delivery, and if that was "not" the final response, write to them again to ask them to reconsider.
If this was the "final response" then move this on to the FOS, good luck.;)

Do you know if there is a fee to get the phone recordings? Also it is not final response as they say if I am not satisfied I can request my claim to be "escalated internally" to give them a call.

    Thanks

In regards of mine, although not the same company, I was sent the Disc free of charge.
I would ask them if they would supply this to you free of charge first, the only other way would be to request a SAR (Subject access Request), template letter on thread for this, and they have 40 days to comply with this.

As this is not the final response, you will need to write back to them until they inform you its the final letter.
I would keep everything in writing as you may need to refer to this if you decide to want to take your complaint to the FOS.;)

hey ho here we go again with first crap!! please do as di says then go to fos when fp give you the final response, please dont let this drop, they are using stalling tactics, as usual, there are a lot of people fighting this company so you are not alone with this. go to the bitter end with this, you have nothing to lose but an awful lot to gain if you win, any help just ask and please keep us posted, good luck ps ( do as they are asking ,to escalate internally and see what they say)
