Could you tell me when you took out the card and how long your claim took.

    Well done on your win

The card was taken out in about 2003 the PPI suddenly appeared on the account in I believe 2006. I took it to the FOS and it took about 11 months.

    Hi all,

Just a quick post to update my situation. Well, there's nothing really to update as I'm STILL WAITING!!!! My complaint has been with the FOS now for 16 months and with the Ombudsman for 9 months. I can honestly say I am now officially fed up with this waiting game. Still not getting any response from the FOS despite letters, emails and phone calls.:mad::mad:

    Not happy. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

After a nervous 8 week wait, HSBC have upheld my claim and have paid £11500.00 into my account after restructuring my loan at my local branch. I have to say that HSBC have been very easy to deal with and have kept me informed through every step of the process.

I advise everyone that was mis sold their PPI policies to claim it back because it is OUR money!

    Hi there

Thanks for your advice, it will help loads here......

And WOW Congratulations, well done !:T:beer::T

    Hi All

Just wanted to give you an update from Barclays PPI. I got the usual 8 week stall letter where they advised they need another four weeks. So off to the FOS the letters and documents went. So I guess I just have to sit and wait now. Thanks

    Hi There
Barclays are an absolute nightmare to deal,as far as i'm aware they do this delaying tactic with everyone(myself included)I Started my claim in October 08 and got exactly nowhere except the same'more time needed '
    letters.
I took mine to FO in January and last month an adudicator found in my favour-surpise surprise ,Barclays disagreed with this and it went to the Ombudsman who agreed with the adjudictor .Barclays now have 28 days to contact me to advise how much the refund is and rearrange my loan.I'm almost there but its been a long hard slog.

    Hi Di,

I hope they get on with it soon too!! I'm trying to be very patient though my patience is running out rapidly now! Apart from that the family are all well thanks. The baby's now 8lbs 10oz!!! She's 15 weeks old so still very small for her age but making up for it by being very demanding and making herself heard!!! Bless her! Hope you and your family are all well. XX

I received a letter from A&L stating I could possibly reclaim the PPI I've been paying on an existing loan. I wrote back & have been told A cheque will arrive for around £430 (don't have letter to hand). The loan has now been cancelled & a new loan set up for the balance.

The balance of the old loan was £4,202.10 with 6 payments left - the new loan with the latest interest rate now has a balance of £4,728.36 with 7 payments left, an additional £526.26. Less the cheque they're sending me I'll be out of pocket by approx £100.00

If you're claiming on an existing loan, make sure you don't get stung by these greedy bankers.

Sorry to hear about this, Nicky. Di will be able to advise you better, but I thought they had to put you back in the position you would have been in before PPI was applied, not make you worse off. Hope you get it sorted.
Big thanks to Martin Lewis for helping us start to sort out our finances!!!:A

    Best Comp win:X-Box 360!!

And thank you to all posters! You're wonderful!
