Hi I am new to this and I am just wondering if anyone has claimed with Welcome Finance?
Hi - An update on my claim, I have received a questionnaire from Welcome re the PPI with some silly questions - I am using a third party who have set the ball rolling and are very confident ! - Watch this space ! :j0 -

Hi there
Welcome.;):D
Yes there are many complaints in regards of Welcome Finance.
Some successful, some still ongoing.
These questionaires are becoming more popular, what some have done is write back and enclosed the questionaire, and made a point of stating, they are not completed because they should already have the information they require from the time it was purchased, they still have to deal with the complaint within the 8 weeks timescale.
This is just classed as a stalling tactic.
Good luck with yours, please let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I've had the same questionnaire. I am also claiming through a third party after having no success with Welcome when trying to claim off my own back. Would love to have some money back from this company.0 -
I Received numerous calls from 1sr Line Services and then this e-mail, although I informed them that I had been total debt free fopr over 10yrs.
They called me 05/05/09 ref my e-mail and then when I said I wanted Database proof they cut me off. Speaks Volumes !!!
Hi Peter,
We will be claiming back your PPI charges for you, and we do require the £99 admin charge, which is fully refunded back to you. Looking at the borrowings you've had, you will be looking at approx £2000 back, but until we have you autority to investigate these claims, we're unable to confirm an exact amount. I hope you can appreciate that i'm unable to confirm an exact figure, but we wouldnt of been asked to contact you if there wasnt money owed back to you, also our Solicitors wouldnt be willing to take on your case if they didnt think there was money coming back to you.
Regards
Vicky Britton
Sales Manager
Dear Vicky Britton,
If you received a letter from a supposedly professional company similiar to yours with the pathetic English grammar and basic spelling mistakes, it would / should make you think twice about the validity of their claims.
Highlighted Yellow Incorrect spelling " Do you not use spell check, if not suggest you do "
Highlighted Blue .. Incorrect grammar
Highlighted Purple..Incorrect spelling and grammar
Highlighted BROWN..Serious concerns, this statement downloaded from FSA web site
Google is a fantastic informatory search tool, it informs me that PPI is only reclaimable for loans etc that have been taken out in the last 10 yrs.
According to your Tele- sales person John, I am on a national data base showing I have such agreements. This is news to me as I do not and have not had any loans or mortgages for over 10 yrs.
Please advise me as to validity of your claims under the 10 year rule.
Your claim for compensation is dependent on when you took the insurance. PPI sales only came under the jurisdiction of the FSA in January 2005. Any sales made before then are not covered by the latest rules.
Yours sincerely

Success!
Claimed from Egg
Wrote letter back in February (1st template letter on this site)
Received a standard reply saying they were investigating and would get back to me within 40 days. Heard nothing so emailed them on day 50. Still heard nowt.
Today, receive a cheque for £277.37
I just want to emphasise the fact that I didn't even know if I was due anything as I had never knowingly signed up to have PPI. Apparently it was built in to my first loan with them so I urge everyone to write the letter and state reason for claim as misselling.
Thank you all for your help!0 -

Hi I am new to this. Just registered today but have been reading all the advice which gave me the courage to claim against Halifax for a loan I took out last October. I sent off the first template letter around 23 March. Received a reply on 8 April saying they had 8 weeks to respond. Got a letter today saying they had upheld my claim and will be contacting me shortly to tell me how much they will pay me. I can't believe it! I also have a letter off to First Plus on 19 March and had two replies, the last one stated they would respond by 19 May. So fingers crossed!
Thanks to Martin and everybody on this forum for giving me the courage to do this. xxx:T0 -
