Fantastic news, we are part way through process to get our PPI back off the first plus scum... on our second attempt - having to go through a third party now - but as it seems they are now paying out to people that could improve our chances. Great news!

Same here ... have two claims with First plus (one via Loans.co.uk) with intitial response letters within a week of our first letter to them promising to get back to us again within 28 days ... fingers crossed

    Hi there,

Can anyone advise the first steps on the PPI thing? Should I call to cancel first as the loan is still being repaid, or bang straight in with a letter?

Many thanks to all you kind people who keep this forum going,

    B

    Hi there

I agree with amersall, its your choice here, but you can still try reclaiming on the PPI plus interest no matter what.

Here below is the link to the reclaiming guide, with templates, they have 8 weeks to respond, follow the reclaiming guide, and write your own reasons in the template letter.

Good luck and let us know if you require any help, and post all letters by recorded delivery.;)

I have just recieved £905.50 in PPI repayment from the Halifax. I took out my first (and only) credit card with them aged 18 just before heading out on a Gap year abroad, with four years of University to go through after that. I was unemployed at the time and clearly had no intention of being in employment for quite some and yet I was still sold (aggressively) this repayment insurance that was only valid if I was employed at the time of taking out the policy! I sent one letter and about three weeks later got a cheque for all past payments plus interest and compensatory interest. Success!

I succesfully got £1300 paid in to my bank account yesterday for a loan taken out about 4 years ago with Virgin MBNA.
I sent approx 3 template letters via Martins site although they were not interested,so of course i then approached the FOS who took over, took nearly a year from start to finish to get it all sorted out but was worth the wait.
Thanks Martin for your templates and advice from your tv programmes otherwise i probably would not have even bothered to do it.
Good luck to all who are going through the process, trust me its well worth the wait.
