I had a Mint card with rbs for 12 years. It took me about an hour to fill in the standars form and pos t it off. 3 weeks later, I received a letter offering me over £11,000!
Refu d of premium £6000
Compund interest £4000
Refund of erroneous overlimit fees £500
Interest less tax etc.
I really liked the overdue limit fees refund. I guess that was because I told them the premiums were affecting my ability to make payments on time. The £11k will be offset by rbs agaibst the outstanding amount on the card. Happy days. Thanks MSE.0 -

Just to correct a minor issue - it's simple interest at 8% not compoundSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Well just spoke to the help line again and it turns out that the so called escalation that was done the other day just means they send you out a letter saying still no decision cos we are still trying to train the monkey to add up!!
Thanks for that lloyds ill sleep better knowing that now0 -
Just phoned them to ask about the dates that the loans where taken out. Found out that 3 of the loans where taken out by just my ex husband. But i was given the loan numbers and dates
Am i right in thinking that this is breaking the data protection law?0 -
If it was a joint account then no, if it wasn't then they may have messed up yes

I had a Marks & Spencer Store Card that I took out and used regularly from about 1983. It was then converted into a credit card and then a second card (un-applied for) was added by BOS - I had a total available credit on these cards of £6000 which I regularly maxed out, paid off, used again etc. But have not used since about 2008.
I got a payout of £11400 last week (tax @ 20% already deducted) - I am well pleased :j
BOS were very efficient in the way they handled everything - I wrote a letter, within 5 days I had a questionnaire, one 15 minute phone call and that was all I had to do - they made the offer within a week of the call and the compensation was transferred to my bank a few days later - the whole process was completed within 5 weeks :T
I am currently waiting for a decision from Natwest on a series of loans - decision due by 28th February - they were equally as efficient and very nice on the phone when discussing my complaint.Totally debt free since 2010 :j

Hi Everyone!
Success!
Last August I was bored. I rang HSBC for details of any accounts on which I may have paid PPI - going back to 1998 - 2006.
Got my letter detailing accounts etc...
Spent an hour filling in Compliant form and thought nothing of it, especially in terms of how long had elapsed.
Happy to report, they decided in favour and awarded £14772! Yes £14772!!!Plan to PAD Everyday 2024Credit Card - £3662.99 (int free to 11/11/25) -PAD TotalsJan 2024 -0
