Hi All esp Showergirl and Natalie.....
Received my cheque from TPF yesterday exactly 8 weeks after the fos sent back the acceptance. This has gone on since Oct 2008,, but i would tell anyone making a claim against mis-selling do not give up at the first hurdle as this took stage 1 and 2 letters then the FOS but i got there in the end...
Happy days!!!

Lloyds TSB Further Education Loan
Taken out Autumn 2002
Initial amount £5000
PPI added on at start of loan £1300
I have just received a full refund plus interest.
They agreed to this after simply receiving the initial template letter from this website.
They initially refunded just the PPI premium, but "forgot" to refund the interest. One phonecall and one additional letter was required to get the interest refunded.
Total amount refunded, just shy of £4000.
Thank you moneysavingexpert - this has made such a big difference to my finances. I can't believe how hassle free it was to achieve this great result!
Great, well done to you !:T:jThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hello All
I've been lurking on this thread since I received a PPI refund from Liverpool Victoria out of the blue at the beginning of February. Having looked at a few posts, I used Martin's first template letter, to reclaim loan PPI charges from Alliance & Leicester. Well, today, I received a response from A&L offering me in excess of £500 as a settlement to my claim. So, I'd just like to say a big thank you to all those who contribute on this thread and who gave me the confidence to write to A&L. And if, like me, you too are wondering whether you should attempt a reclaim then go for it - you may just be pleasantly surprised by the outcome!
Thanks again :T0 -

Success for me today as well. Hubby was misold PPI on loan with HFC bank and had actually tried to pay monies off as was made redundant and was told that couldn't. Received letter today advising refund of 1051.84.
